UK to work closely with Colombia on new agenda

While in Colombia, Foreign Office Minister for Latin America Jeremy Browne attended the inauguration of the new President.

This was published under the 2010 to 2015 Conservative and Liberal Democrat coalition government

At his inauguration, President-elect Juan Manuel Santos gave a speech setting out priorities for Colombia, including security, educational prospects and the environment.

In a video message recorded after the speech Jeremy Browne describes the speech as “inspirational” and that it “bodes very well for Colombia”.

Today the Minister continues his visit to Colombia where he will make a speech promoting UK-Colombia business links and championing Colombia’s potential to become a global environmental power.
