UK congratulates Hondurans and President-Elect Castro
Wendy Morton, Minister for Europe and Americas welcomed the results of the 28 November elections.
The Minister for Europe and Americas at the Foreign, Commonwealth and Development Office (FCDO), Wendy Morton, said through her Twitter account (@morton_wendy):
Congratulations to Honduras, and the first lady President-Elect Xiomara Castro.
The UK looks forward to working together with Honduras on environmental issues, trade, and the fight against corruption.
The Minister’s statement comes after the United Kingdom undertook an observation mission for the General Elections of Honduras on November 28.
