High Level Political Talks with Mexico

The UK and Mexico held the 18th round of the annual High Level Political Talks on 2 November in Mexico City.

The Talks were co-chaired by José Antonio Meade, the Mexican Secretary of Foreign Affairs, and the Rt. Hon. Hugo Swire MP, Minister of State at the UK Foreign and Commonwealth Office. Also joining them were a number of senior Mexican and British officials.

Views were exchanged on the current political developments in both countries, bilateral cooperation and a range of important regional and international issues. Both sides stressed that the High Level Political Talks are a viable mechanism to promote political dialogue and bilateral co-operation between Mexico and the UK.
