UK Trade & Investment in Budapest (UKTI), in partnership with the Hungarian Biotechnology Association, organised an exchange event for British companies in the biotechnology and life sciences sectors to explore partnership opportunities and win new business in the heart of Europe.
The conference aimed to:
Provide insights into life sciences as well as partnership opportunities
Showcase some of the best British & Hungarian innovations
Present business opportunities in the Central & Eastern European (CEE) region
The Exchange event focused on red biotechnology - especially the future co-operation of British and Hungarian companies in the fields of medicinal chemistry, bioinformatics and CRO & pharma services.
Representatives of more than 80 companies attended the conference, including 22 companies from the UK, who had the opportunity to meet approximately 80 Hungarian potential business partners. A conference, a webinar and exciting networking opportunities including one-to-one meetings offered all participants the opportunity to build business relationships.
The event was supported by the GREAT Innovation Showcase - an exhibition of recent, high-impact British innovations in the fields of technology and life sciences.
Being pioneers in involving high-tech IT solutions in marketing the event, UKTI have also managed to extend their reach by live streaming the conference for British and Hungarian audiences, for the first time in the Central European Network.
