On the occasion of Eid ul Fitr, the British High Commissioner to Pakistan, Adam Thomson said:

On behalf of the UK Government and the staff of the British High Commission in Pakistan I am delighted to offer our best wishes to everyone celebrating Eid ul Fitr: in Pakistan and around the world.

Eid ul Fitr is a special day. It brings together friends and families, and encourages those celebrating Eid to continue the teachings from the month of Ramzaan throughout rest of the year, particularly the lessons of giving, charity and tolerance. These shared values are reflected in the generosity shown by Muslims all over the world, including in Britain.

I would like to take this opportunity to extend my best wishes to you and your family.

Eid Mubarak!
