The Adult Social Care Outcomes Framework: Handbook of definitions
Following a Government commitment, the Department has published this data definitions handbook.
The handbook, which sets out the technical detail of each measure in the Adult Social Care Outcomes Framework (ASCOF), with worked examples, to minimise confusion and inconsistency in reporting and interpretation.
The intended audience for this handbook is therefore both local authority employees who are responsible for data collection, reporting or interpretation and members of the public who are interested in understanding the ASCOF in more detail or who are unclear on the meaning of some of the measures.
