Suppliers encouraged to raise Code issues at the GCA’s 2026 annual conference
Suppliers and retailers came together at the GCA’s annual conference on 29 September to discuss Code compliance and issues across the sector.
The Adjudicator and designated retailers’ Code Compliance Officers explained that suppliers can resolve issues by raising them, which also improves wider Code compliance.
Suppliers can raise issues with retailers or the GCA, with safeguards in place to protect confidentiality and ensure they do not face negative consequences for doing so.

The conference also included a discussion about how the Code and the GCA support fair treatment of suppliers, including through the GCA’s focus on delay in payments, forecasting, De-listing and CPI negotiations, and about the Adjudicator’s engagement with the retailers on these issues.
