Stephen Crabb: "The Work Programme is succeeding and this Government is getting Wales working"
Secretary of State for Wales Stephen Crabb today welcomed the newly-released Work Programme Performance Statistics for Wales.
The number of people in Wales who have found work through this flagship Government scheme has increased by over 50% compared to the previous year.
Since its launch, 20,490 claimants in Wales have escaped long term unemployment and found lasting work through the UK Government’s Work Programme.
This further shows that the Work Programme is succeeding, and that this Government is getting Wales working.
