John McKellar and Matthew Brown, two well-known Scots representing the British community in Moldova, had the privilege to raise the Saltire at the British Embassy Chisinau, to mark St. Andrew’s Day.

The Flag of Scotland, also known as Saint Andrew’s Cross or the Saltire, is the national flag of Scotland and is, where possible, flown from Scottish Government buildings every day from 8 a.m. until sunset, with certain exceptions.

British Embassy Chsiinau as a part of the FCO, represents the whole of the United Kingdom in Moldova, and the national day of Scotland is a great opportunity to remind the Moldovans that multiple nationalities and diversity are the obvious similarities which characterize our countries.”
