RPC statement: impact of the Immigration and Asylum Bill
Update on our scrutiny of the impact assessment from the Home Office.
The Regulatory Policy Committee received an impact assessment for the Immigration and Asylum Bill from the Home Office on 30 June 2026.
The impact assessment was published on GOV.UK on 30 June 2026.
We are independently scrutinising the quality of the evidence and analysis used by the department to support the case for regulation.
Our opinion of the impact assessment will be published for transparency as soon as our scrutiny process has been completed
