Rosina Cottage QC reappointed to the Sentencing Council

The Secretary of State for Justice has announced the reappointment of Rosina Cottage QC for a period of 3 years.

Rosina Cottage QC is reappointed to the Sentencing Council from 19 July 2019 to 19 July 2022.

Rosina Cottage has been a barrister since 1988, practicing in criminal law, and is a Tenant at Red Lion Chambers. She was appointed Queen’s Counsel in 2011 and appointed Crown Court Recorder in 2012.

She was appointed to the Sentencing Council on 18 July 2016 with specific responsibility as the Council’s defence representative, providing the perspective of those representing defendants within the Criminal Justice system

Rosina Cottage has not declared any political activity.

Appointments to the Sentencing Council are made by the Secretary of State for Justice and are regulated by the Commissioner for Public Appointments. This appointment has been made in line with the Governance Code on Public Appointments.
