Research Study – Women in the Workplace

Important research study among employers across Great Britain, investigating gender workforce issues.

This was published under the 2010 to 2015 Conservative and Liberal Democrat coalition government

The Government Equalities Office (GEO) is conducting an important research study among employers across Great Britain, investigating gender workforce issues. IFF Research, an independent market research company, is conducting the work on our behalf. If one of their interviewers contacts your company about taking part in the study, we would be very grateful for your participation. The telephone interview takes about 10 minutes. The research is not ‘checking up’ on your organisation. The study is simply to examine current business practice and opinions and how the current drive towards greater transparency of reporting on gender issues in the workplace does or might impact on businesses.

All your responses will be anonymous and treated in the strictest confidence. All data will be reported to us in aggregate form – no individual or company will be identifiable from the results, and nothing will be attributed to any individual or company. GEO will not be told the names of organisations participating in the survey.

If you would like more information about the survey please contact Christabel Downing or Erica Garnett at IFF Research on 020 7250 3035 or Tim Morgan at GEO on 020 7211 6982 or tim.morgan@geo.gsi.gov.uk.
