Promoting knowledge of Carbon Markets

A British private energy markets consultancy firm delivered a training course to a group of 25 Peruvian businessmen and high ranking government officials.

This was published under the 2010 to 2015 Conservative and Liberal Democrat coalition government

With the objective of promoting a deeper knowledge of Carbon Markets, the Consilience Energy Advisory Group Ltd (CEAG Ltd), delivered a training course to a group of 25 Peruvian businessmen and high ranking government officials from 16 - 17 August at the British Embassy.

The event was jointly opened by Rosario Gomez , Vice Minister for Strategic Development of Natural Resources (Ministry of Environment) and the newly appointed British Ambassador to Peru, James Dauris.

Founded in 1999 and based in London, the Consilience Energy Advisory Group has worked extensively with governments, businesses and professional organisations across Europe, Africa, the United States and the Far East. The course was delivered by Liz Bossley and Dr. Andy Kerr. Liz Bossley has over 30 years’ experience of working in international energy markets; spanning trading, risk management, marketing and contract negotiations. She is currently a member of the the UK Treasury’s Carbon Experts Group, a forum for discussion on enhancing and developing the global carbon market. Dr Andy Kerr, an expert on the scientific issues surrounding climate change, has over ten year’s experience in the field. As well as his work in the private sector, he lectures on climate change at Edinburgh University, where he received his PhD in climate change. Both have published several works together, including ‘Climate Change and Emissions Trading: What Every Business Needs to Know’.
