The British Embassy Tokyo is inviting interested parties to submit bids for researching opportunities for the UK businesses in the Japanese cyber market.

This project aims to help the UK companies to capture business opportunities in the Japanese market, by producing Japan Cyber Security Market Intelligence toolkit. The toolkit will be shared with the UK companies via webinar, UK seminars and ongoing our work.

UK’s expertise on cyber is well recognized in Japan, and the UK companies have started seeing success in the market. Production of this toolkit would accelerate this trend by enabling the UK companies to understand the current Japanese market situation and make better informed decision on whether enter the market and how to take their next steps.

Key outputs

The successful bidder should produce a Cyber Security Market Intelligence toolkit by mid February. The toolkit will build on the previous report in 2016 to help UK cyber security businesses currently in Japan and those looking to enter the Japanese market;

  • include information on Japanese cyber policies, governance, market trend and opportunities; and
  • facilitate (1) the highest number of relevant UK companies to seek opportunities, and (2) to maximise the export revenue for each of those UK companies.

Also, the successful bidder should deliver Presentations for the webinar in end February or March as well as for the seminar in the UK in March. Detail should be discussed and confirmed with the successful bidder.
