Freedom of movement

Asked if the PM had any comments on President Barroso’s comments on freedom of movement attitudes, the PMS said that there was an ongoing debate in many European capitals on the interaction between freedom of movement and welfare.

Asked for the PMs view on freedom of movement, the PMS said that the PM had outlined in March that it’s important to have discussions on this matter in a measured way and the UK is far from the only country that thinks it’s important to address these issues.
