Planned roadworks in Yorkshire and the Humber: summary for Monday 9 November to Sunday 15 November 2015

The following summary of planned new and ongoing road improvements over the coming week is correct as of Friday 6 November 2015 and could be subject to change due to weather conditions or unforeseen circumstances. All our improvement work is carried out with the aim of causing as little disruption as possible.

M1 junction 30 Chesterfield to junction 31 Worksop

The northbound side of the motorway will be reduced to a single lane overnight for 3 nights from Monday 2 November. The southbound exit slip road at junction 30 will be closed overnight on for 2 nights from Monday 9 November. The closures will take place between 8pm and 6am, and drivers will be able to follow clearly signed diversion routes.

M1 junction 32 Thurcroft to junction 35a Stocksbridge

The hard shoulder is currently closed in both directions as part of the smart motorway scheme. There will be narrow lanes and a 50mph speed limit until the project is completed in winter 2016. The northbound entry slip road at junction 35 will be closed overnight for 4 nights from Monday 9 November. The northbound side of the motorway will be reduced to a single lane overnight for 3 nights from Monday 9 November and for 2 nights from Friday 13 November. The northbound side of the motorway will be closed between the slip roads at junction 34 overnight for 2 nights from Monday 9 November. The northbound entry slip road at junction 33 will be closed overnight on Wednesday 11 November. The southbound side of the motorway will be reduced to a single lane overnight for 2 nights from Wednesday 11 November. The southbound entry slip road at junction 34 will be closed overnight on Friday 13 November. The southbound side of the motorway will be closed between the slip roads at junction 34 overnight for 2 nights from Wednesday 11 November. The southbound entry slip road at junction 33 will be closed overnight on Thursday 12 November. The closures will take place between 8pm and 6am, and drivers will be able to follow clearly signed diversion routes.

M1 junction 39 Denby Dale to junction 42 (M62 interchange)

The hard shoulder is currently closed in both directions as part of the smart motorway scheme. There will be narrow lanes and a 50mph speed limit in place until the project is completed in winter 2015. The southbound side of carriageway will be fully closed between junction 39 and junction 40 overnight for 3 nights from Tuesday 10 November. The northbound side of the motorway between junction 39 and junction 40 will be closed overnight Monday 9 November. The northbound side of the motorway between junction 41 and junction 42 will be closed overnight on Wednesday 11 November. The closures will take place between 8pm and 6am, and drivers will be able to follow clearly signed diversion routes.

M18 junction 5 to junction 6 Ings

The northbound side will be reduced to single lane running for bridge works overnight for 5 nights Monday 9 November. The closures will take place between 8pm and 6am.

M18 to junction 3

Lane one on both sides of the carriageway will be closed overnight for repairs to the safety barrier from Monday 9 November until Sunday 31 January. The closure will be between 8pm and 6am. Parts of the hard shoulder will continue to be closed during the day to allow drainage CCTV surveys and general maintenance work to be carried out.

M62 junction 25 Brighouse

The westbound entry slip road at junction 25 will be closed and there will be a single lane running between the slip roads overnight for 2 nights from Monday 9 November for bridge works. The westbound side of the carriageway between the slip roads at junction 25 will be closed overnight for 2 nights from Wednesday 11 November for bridge works. The closures will take place between 8pm and 6am, and drivers will be able to follow clearly signed diversion routes.

M62 junction 22 to junction 23 Outlane

The eastbound and westbound side of the carriageway will be reduced to a single lane for resurfacing works for 5 nights from Monday 9 November. The closures will take place between 8pm and 6am.

M62 junction 25 to junction 26 Chainbar

The eastbound side of the motorway will be reduced to a single lane for technology works overnight on Monday 9 November 2015. The closure will take place between 8pm and 6am.

M62 junction 32 Castleford

The westbound entry slip road at junction 32 will be closed overnight for technology works on Monday 9 November. The closure will take place between 8pm and 6am, and drivers will be able to follow clearly signed diversion routes.

M62 junction 26 to junction 27 Gildersome

The eastbound side of the motorway will be reduced to a single lane for technology works overnight on Monday 9 November and Tuesday 10 November. The westbound side of the motorway will be reduced to a single lane for technology works overnight on Tuesday 10 November. The closures will take place between 8pm and 6am.

M62 junction 37 Howden

The westbound entry slip road at junction 37 will be closed overnight for resurfacing works on Wednesday 11 November. The closure will take place between 8pm and 6am, and drivers will be able to follow clearly signed diversion routes.

M62 junction 26 Bradford (M606 interchange)

There will be narrow lanes and a 30mph speed limit in place until the project is completed in autumn 2016. The slip roads and roundabout at the junction will be reduced to a single lane overnight, between 7pm and 6am, from Monday 9 November for 5 nights.

M621 junction 1 Beeston

The clockwise carriageway will be closed overnight for 5 nights from Monday 9 November at junction 1 for bridge works. The closures will take place between 8pm and 6am, and drivers will be able to follow clearly signed diversion routes.

A61 Westwood roundabout

The eastbound and westbound side of the A road will be closed between Westwood and Mcdonalds for roundabout improvement works from Monday 2 November for 4 nights. The closures will take place between 8pm and 6am, and drivers will be able to follow clearly signed diversion routes.

A616 Newton Chambers to Westwood

The eastbound and westbound side of the A road will be closed between Westwood and Newton Chambers for resurfacing works from Friday 13 November for 2 nights. The closures will take place between 8pm and 6am, and drivers will be able to follow clearly signed diversion routes.

A180/A160 Immingham, Humberside

There will be narrow lanes on the A180 and A160 along with a 50mph speed limit while work takes place to improve access to the Port of Immingham, including upgrading the A160 to a dual carriageway. The project is due to be completed in autumn 2016. The westbound exit slip road at Brocklesby will be closed until August 2016 and the eastbound entry at Brocklesby will be closed until August 2016.

A64 Bondhill to Copmanthorpe

The westbound side of the carriageway will be fully closed overnight on Monday 9 November and then again on Thursday 12 November for 2 nights for bridge works. The eastbound side of the carriageway will be fully closed overnight on Tuesday 10 November for bridge works. The closures will take place between 8pm and 6am, and drivers will be able to follow clearly signed diversion routes.
