The following summary of planned new and ongoing road improvements over the coming week is correct as of Friday 6 January and could be subject to change due to weather conditions or unforeseen circumstances. All our improvement work is carried out with the aim of causing as little disruption as possible.

M1 junction 32 Thurcroft to junction 35a Stocksbridge

The hard shoulder is currently closed in both directions between junctions 32 and 34 as part of the smart motorway scheme. The northbound carriageway will be fully closed between the slip roads at junction 33 overnight for two nights from Wednesday 11 January. The northbound entry slip road at junction 33 will be closed overnight for two nights from Saturday 14 January.

The northbound exit slip road at junction 34 will be closed overnight on Monday 9 January and then for a further two nights from Saturday 14 January. The southbound carriageway will be fully closed between the slip roads at junction 33 overnight on Monday 9 January. The southbound carriageway will be fully closed between the slip roads at junction 34 overnight on Wednesday 11 January.

The southbound entry slip road at junction 33 will be closed overnight for two nights from Tuesday 10 January. There will be narrow lanes and a 50mph speed limit until the project is completed. The closures will take place between 8pm and 6am, and drivers will be able to follow clearly signed diversion routes.

M1 junction 42 to junction 41 Carr Gate

The southbound entry slip road at junction 42 will be fully closed overnight on Monday 9 January for carriageway repairs. The southbound entry slip road at junction 41 will be fully closed overnight on Friday 13 January for carriageway repairs. The northbound exit slip road at junction 41 will be closed overnight on Thursday 12 January for carriageway repairs. The closures will take place between 8pm and 6am, and drivers will be able to follow clearly signed diversion routes.

M1 junction 38 Haigh

The northbound entry slip road will be fully closed overnight for four nights from Monday 9 January for road markings to be repainted. The closures will take place between 8pm and 6am, and drivers will be able to follow clearly signed diversion routes.

M1 junction 39 Durkar

The northbound entry slip road will be fully closed overnight on Friday 13 January for road markings to be repainted. The closures will take place between 8pm and 6am, and drivers will be able to follow clearly signed diversion routes.

M18 junction 0 to M1 junction 32 Thurcroft

The M18 southbound link to the M1 northbound link will be fully closed overnight for four nights from Monday 9 January for bridge works. The closures will take place between 8pm and 6am, and drivers will be able to follow clearly signed diversion routes.

M180 junction 4 Broughton

The eastbound exit slip road will be fully closed overnight on Thursday 12 January for carriageway repairs. The closures will take place between 8pm and 6am, and drivers will be able to follow clearly signed diversion routes.

M62 junction 26 Bradford (M606 interchange)

There will be a 30mph speed limit in place until a project to add an extra lane to the roundabout at the junction is due to be completed. The slip roads and roundabout will be reduced to a single lane overnight, between 7pm and 6am, from Monday 9 January for five nights. The roundabout and all approaches will be fully closed overnight on Saturday 14 January between 7pm and 9am. Drivers will be able to follow clearly signed diversion routes.

M62 junction 28 Tingley

The eastbound carriageway will be fully closed between the slip roads overnight for technology works on Monday 9 January. The closures will take place between 8pm and 6am, and drivers will be able to follow clearly signed diversion routes.

A180/A160 Immingham, Humberside

The A180 will be fully closed between the slip roads westbound and eastbound at Brocklesby overnight for three nights from Monday 9 January. This is to improve access to the Port of Immingham, including upgrading the A160 to a dual carriageway. Drivers will be able to follow clearly signed diversion route.

A63 Daltry Street to Mytongate

The eastbound carriageway will be fully closed overnight for five nights from Monday 9 January for patching works. The closures will take place between 8pm and 6am, and drivers will be able to follow clearly signed diversion routes.

A631 junction 34 Northern Roundabout

The roundabout and its approaches will be reduced to a single lane overnight for five nights from Monday 9 January for cabling works. The closures will take place between 8pm and 6am, and drivers will be able to follow clearly signed diversion routes.
