The following summary of planned new and ongoing road improvements over the coming week is correct as of Monday 28 September and could be subject to change due to weather conditions or unforeseen circumstances. All our improvement work is carried out with the aim of causing as little disruption as possible.

M1 junction 32 Thurcroft to junction 33 Catcliffe

The hard shoulder is currently closed in both directions as part of the smart motorway scheme. The northbound side of the motorway will be reduced to a single lane overnight for 5 nights on Monday 28 September. The southbound side of the motorway will be reduced to a single lane overnight for 5 nights from Monday 28 September. The closures will take place between 8pm and 6am, and drivers will be able to follow clearly signed diversion routes.

M1 junction 34 Tinsley to junction 35a Stocksbridge

The hard shoulder is currently closed in both directions as part of the smart motorway scheme. There will be narrow lanes and a 50mph speed limit until the project is completed in winter 2016. The closures will take place between 8pm and 6am, and drivers will be able to follow clearly signed diversion routes.

M1 junction 39 Denby Dale to junction 42 (M62 interchange)

The hard shoulder is currently closed in both directions as part of the smart motorway scheme. There will be narrow lanes and a 50mph speed limit in place until the project is completed in autumn 2015. The southbound side of the motorway will be closed between junction 40 to junction 41 for 2 nights on Tuesday 29 September. The northbound entry slip road at junction 41 will be closed for 3 nights on Monday 28 September. The southbound side of the motorway will be closed between junction 39 to junction 40 overnight on Thursday 1 October. The northbound side of the motorway will be closed between junction 39 to junction 40 overnight for 6 nights on Monday 28 September. The closures will take place between 8pm and 6am, and drivers will be able to follow clearly signed diversion routes.

M62 junction 26 Bradford (M606 interchange)

There will be narrow lanes and a 30mph speed limit in place until the project is completed in April 2016. The slip roads and roundabout at the junction will be reduced to a single lane overnight, between 7pm and 6am, from Monday 14 September for 5 nights.

M62 junction 32 Castleford

The eastbound side of the carriageway will be closed between the slip roads for bridge works for 5 nights from Monday 28 September. The closures will be in place between 8pm and 6am, and drivers will be able to follow clearly signed diversion routes.

M621 junction 1 Beeston

The anticlockwise carriageway will be closed overnight for 5 nights from Monday 28 September at junction 1 for bridge works. The closures will take place between 8pm and 6am, and drivers will be able to follow clearly signed diversion routes.

M621 junction 4 Hunslet

The clockwise exit slip road will be closed for maintenance works on Sunday 4 October. The closures will take place between 5am and 9am, and drivers will be able to follow clearly signed diversion routes.

M621 junction 1 Beeston

The clockwise entry slip road will be closed for maintenance works on Saturday 3 October. The closures will take place between 5am and 10am, and drivers will be able to follow clearly signed diversion routes.

A1M junction 37 Blyth

The northbound exit slip road will be closed for patching works overnight for 5 nights from Monday 28 September. The closures will take place between 9pm and 6am, and drivers will be able to follow clearly signed diversion routes.

A1M junction 36 Warmsworth

The northbound entry slip road and southbound exit slip road will be closed for bridge works overnight on Saturday 3 October. The closures will take place between 9pm and 6am, and drivers will be able to follow clearly signed diversion routes.

A61 Westwood roundabout

The eastbound and westbound side of the A road will be closed between Westwood and Wentworth Way for roundabout improvement works from Monday 28 September for 4 nights. The closures will take place between 8pm and 6am, and drivers will be able to follow clearly signed diversion routes.

A180/A160 Immingham, Humberside

There will be narrow lanes on the A180 and A160 along with a 50mph speed limit while work takes place to improve access to the Port of Immingham, including upgrading the A160 to a dual carriageway. The project is due to be completed in autumn 2016. The westbound exit slip road at Brocklesby will be closed until August 2016 and the eastbound entry slip road at Brocklesby will be closed until August 2016. The closures will take place between 8pm and 6am, and drivers will be able to follow clearly signed diversion routes.
