The following summary of planned new and ongoing road improvements over the coming week is correct as of Friday 22 April 2016 and could be subject to change due to weather conditions or unforeseen circumstances. All our improvement work is carried out with the aim of causing as little disruption as possible.

M1 junction 30 to junction 31 Aston

The northbound carriageway will be reduced to a single lane overnight for 5 nights from Monday 25 April. The northbound exit slip road at junction 31 will be closed overnight for 5 nights from Monday 25 April. The northbound entry slip road at junction 31 will be closed overnight for 2 nights from Thursday 28 April. The southbound carriageway will be reduced to a single lane overnight for 7 nights from Monday 25 April. The southbound exit and entry slip roads at Woodall Services will be closed overnight on Wednesday 27 April. The southbound entry slip road at junction 31 will be closed overnight on Tuesday 26 April then for a further 2 nights from Saturday 30 April. The closures are for works on the smart motorway. The closures will take place between 8pm and 6am, and drivers will be able to follow clearly signed diversion routes.

M1 junction 32 Thurcroft to junction 35a Stocksbridge

The hard shoulder is currently closed in both directions as part of the smart motorway scheme. The northbound carriageway will be reduced to a single lane for 3 nights from Monday 25 April. The northbound carriageway will be closed between the slip roads at junction 34 overnight on Wednesday 27 April. The northbound entry slip road at junction 34 will be closed overnight on Friday 29 April. The northbound entry slip road at junction 35 will be closed overnight for 2 nights from Wednesday 27 April. The southbound carriageway will be reduced to a single lane overnight for 7 nights from Monday 25 April. The southbound entry and exit slip roads at junction 35 will be closed overnight on Tuesday 26 April. There will be narrow lanes and a 50mph speed limit until the project is completed in winter 2016. The closures will take place between 8pm and 6am, and drivers will be able to follow clearly signed diversion routes.

M1 junction 39 Denby Dale to junction 42 (M62 interchange)

The southbound carriageway between junction 39 and junction 40 will be reduced to single lane overnight for 2 nights from Monday 25 April. The southbound exit slip road at junction 39 will be closed overnight on Monday 25 April. The southbound carriageway between junction 39 and junction 40 will be closed overnight for 2 nights from Wednesday 27 April. The northbound carriageway between junction 39 and 40 will be closed overnight on Tuesday 26 April. The northbound exit slip road at junction 41 will be closed overnight on Monday 25 April. All closures are for carriageway works such as bridge waterproofing and bridge works. The closures will take place between 8pm and 6am, and drivers will be able to follow clearly signed diversion routes.

M18 junction 4 Armthorpe

The southbound entry slip will be closed overnight for 5 nights from Monday 25 April for carriageway repairs. The closures will take place between 8pm and 6am, and drivers will be able to follow clearly signed diversion routes.

M18 junction 5 to junction 6 Thorne

The northbound carriageway will be closed overnight between the slip roads at junction 5 on Monday 25 April. The northbound entry slip road at junction 5 will be closed overnight for 2 nights from Tuesday 26 April. This is for carriageway repairs. The closures will take place between 8pm and 6am, and drivers will be able to follow clearly signed diversion routes.

M62 junction 22 Rishworth Moor

The westbound slip road at junction 22 will be closed overnight for lighting works on Tuesday 26 April. The closures will take place between 8pm and 6am, and drivers will be able to follow clearly signed diversion routes.

M62 junction 24 Ainley Top

The westbound entry slip road at junction 24 will be closed overnight for 4 nights for drainage works from Monday 25 April. The eastbound entry slip road at junction 24 will be closed overnight for lighting works on Tuesday 26 April. The closures will take place between 8pm and 6am, and drivers will be able to follow clearly signed diversion routes.

M62 junction 25 Brighouse

The eastbound entry slip road at junction 25 will be closed overnight on Friday 29 April for technology works. The closures will take place between 8pm and 6am, and drivers will be able to follow clearly signed diversion routes.

M62 junction 26 Bradford (M606 interchange)

There will be narrow lanes and a 30mph speed limit in place until a project to add an extra lane to the roundabout at the junction is completed in autumn 2016. The slip roads and roundabout will be reduced to a single lane overnight, between 7pm and 6am, from Monday 25 April for 5 nights. The westbound side of the carriageway will be reduced to a single lane for five nights from Monday 25 April.

M62 junction 26 to junction 27 Gelderd Road

The eastbound carriageway will be reduced to a single lane overnight on Monday 25 April for technology works. The closures will take place between 8pm and 6am.

M62 junction 28 Tingley

The eastbound carriageway will be closed between the slip roads overnight on Thursday 28 April for technology works. The closures will take place between 8pm and 6am, and drivers will be able to follow clearly signed diversion routes.

M62 junction 31 Normanton

The eastbound entry slip road at junction 31 will be closed overnight for road markings to be repainted on Monday 25 April. The closures will take place between 8pm and 6am, and drivers will be able to follow clearly signed diversion routes.

M62 junction 33 Ferrybridge

The eastbound carriageway will be closed between the slip roads for bridge works overnight for 3 nights from Monday 25 April. The closures will take place between 8pm and 6am, and drivers will be able to follow clearly signed diversion routes. The A162 will be closed 24/7 until July 2016 for bridge work. Drivers will be able to follow clearly signed diversion route.

M180 junction 4 to junction 5 Ings

The westbound side of the carriageway will be closed overnight on Monday 25 April. The closure will take place between 8pm and 6am, and drivers will be able to follow clearly signed diversion routes.

M62 junction 27 to M621 junction 1 Beeston

The anticlockwise carriageway will be closed overnight for 5 nights from Monday 25 April for electrical works. The closure will take place between 8pm and 6am, and drivers will be able to follow clearly signed diversion routes.

A1M junction 36 Warmsworth

The southbound exit will be closed between 6am and 6pm on Saturday 30 April for the Tour de Yorkshire event. Drivers will be able to follow clearly signed diversion route.

A64 Tadcaster

The westbound exit slip road will be closed during the day between 1.30pm and 3.30pm on Friday 29 April for the Tour de Yorkshire event. Drivers will be able to follow clearly signed diversion route.

A64 Fulford to Askham Bryan

There will be narrow lanes and a 30mph speed limit until the bridge work project is completed in spring 2016. The A road will be fully closed overnight on Tuesday 26 April. The closures will take place between 8pm and 6am, and drivers will be able to follow clearly signed diversion routes.

A616 Deepcar

The eastbound exit slip road at Deepcar will be fully closed overnight for 3 nights from Monday 25 April for carriageway repairs. The westbound exit slip road at Deepcar will be fully closed overnight for 2 nights from Thursday 28 April for carriageway repairs. The closures will take place between 8pm and 6am, and drivers will be able to follow clearly signed diversion routes.

A180/A160 Immingham, Humberside

There will be narrow lanes on the A180 and A160 along with a 50mph speed limit while work takes place to improve access to the Port of Immingham, including upgrading the A160 to a dual carriageway. The project is due to be completed in autumn 2016. The westbound exit slip road and eastbound entry slip road at Brocklesby Interchange will be closed until August 2016.
