The following summary of planned new and ongoing road improvements over the coming week is correct as of Friday 17 June 2016 and could be subject to change due to weather conditions or unforeseen circumstances. All our improvement work is carried out with the aim of causing as little disruption as possible.

M1 junction 32 Thurcroft to junction 35a Stocksbridge

The hard shoulder is currently closed in both directions as part of the smart motorway scheme. The northbound carriageway will be closed between junction 35 to junction 36 overnight on Monday 20 June. The northbound carriageway will be fully closed overnight for two nights between the slip roads at junction 34 overnight on Wednesday 22 June. The northbound entry slip road at junction 34 will be closed overnight on Friday 24 June. The northbound entry slip road at junction 35 will be closed overnight on Monday 20 June. The northbound carriageway will be closed overnight between the slip roads at junction 35 on Tuesday 21 June. The southbound carriageway will be fully closed between the slip roads at junction 34 overnight for five nights from Monday 20 June. The southbound exit slip road will be closed overnight on Friday 24 June. There will be narrow lanes and a 50mph speed limit until the project is completed in winter 2016. The closures will take place between 8pm and 6am, and drivers will be able to follow clearly signed diversion routes.

M1 junction 39 Denby Dale to junction 42 (M62 interchange)

The northbound carriageway will be reduced to a single lane overnight on Tuesday 21 June from junction 39 to junction 40. The southbound entry slip road at junction 41 will be closed overnight for two nights from Monday 21 June. The southbound exit slip road at junction 40 will be closed overnight on Thursday 23 June. The southbound carriageway will be fully closed overnight between junction 39 and junction 40 for three nights from Friday 24 June, the closures will take place between Friday 8pm to 9am and Saturday 8pm to 10am and Sunday 8pm until 6am. The northbound carriageway will be fully closed from junction 39 to junction 40 overnight on Monday 20 June. Drivers will be able to follow clearly signed diversion routes. All closures are for carriageway works such as waterproofing and bridge works.

M1 junction 37 Tankersley

The southbound entry slip road will be closed early morning on Sunday 26 June for overhead power cables. The closures will take place between 6am and 10am, and drivers will be able to follow clearly signed diversion routes.

M1 junction 38 Haigh

The northbound entry slip road will be closed overnight for five nights from Monday 20 June. The closures are for resurfacing works. The closures will take place between 8pm and 6am, and drivers will be able to follow clearly signed diversion routes.

M18 junction 5 to junction 6 Thorne

The northbound carriageway will be fully closed between the slip roads at junction 5 and it will be reduced to a single lane on the main carriageway to junction 6 for resurfacing works overnight on Tuesday 21 June. The southbound carriageway will be fully closed between the slip roads at junction 6 including the main carriageway being reduced to a single lane to junction 5 for resurfacing works overnight on Tuesday 21 June. The closures will take place between 8pm and 6am, and drivers will be able to follow clearly signed diversion routes.

M62 junction 26 Bradford (M606 interchange)

There will be narrow lanes and a 30mph speed limit in place until a project to add an extra lane to the roundabout at the junction is completed in autumn 2016. The slip roads and roundabout will be reduced to a single lane overnight, between 7pm and 6am, from Monday 20 June for five nights. The westbound exit will be fully closed overnight on Monday 20 June. The closure will take place between 8pm and 6am, and drivers will be able to follow clearly signed diversion routes.

M62 junction 26 to junction 27 Gildersome

The westbound carriageway will be fully closed between the slip roads at junction 27 with the main carriageway being reduced to a single lane to junction 26 for technology works overnight on Friday 24 June. The carriageway will be fully closed for technology works overnight on Saturday 25 June. The closure will take place between 8pm and 6am, and drivers will be able to follow clearly signed diversion routes.

M62 junction 27 to junction 28 Tingley

The westbound carriageway will be fully closed between the slip roads at junction 28 and be reduced to a single lane up to junction 27 for technology works overnight on Tuesday 21 June. The closure will take place between 8pm and 6am, and drivers will be able to follow clearly signed diversion routes.

M62 junction 30 Rothwell

The eastbound carriageway will be fully closed between the slip roads for technology works overnight on Wednesday 22 June. The closure will take place between 8pm and 6am, and drivers will be able to follow clearly signed diversion routes.

M62 junction 32 Castleford

The eastbound carriageway will be fully closed between the slip roads at junction 32 overnight for two nights from Monday 20 June for bridge joint works. The closure will take place between 8pm and 6am, and drivers will be able to follow clearly signed diversion routes.

M62 junction 27 to M621 junction 1 Beeston

The clockwise link from the M62 eastbound onto the M621 will be fully closed overnight for five nights from Monday 20 June for electrical works. The anticlockwise carriageway will be reduced to a single lane overnight for five nights from Monday 6 June for electrical works.

M621 junction 3 to junction 7 Stourton

The clockwise carriageway will be fully closed overnight for three nights from Monday 20 June for gantry works. The closure will take place between 8pm and 6am, and drivers will be able to follow clearly signed diversion routes.

M62/A162 junction 33 Ferrybridge

The A162 will be fully closed until July 2016 for bridge work. Drivers will be able to follow clearly signed diversion route.

A1M junctions 34 to 35 Wadworth

The northbound side of the carriageway will be fully closed overnight for two nights from Thursday 23 June for barrier works. The closure will take place between 8pm and 6am, and drivers will be able to follow clearly signed diversion routes.

A1M junction 36 Warmsworth

The northbound side of the carriageway will be fully closed between the slip roads overnight for two nights from Monday 20 June for barrier works. The closure will take place between 8pm and 6am, and drivers will be able to follow clearly signed diversion routes.

A1M junction 38 to junction 37 Marr

The southbound side of the carriageway will be fully closed overnight on Friday 24 June for barrier works. The closure will take place between 8pm and 6am, and drivers will be able to follow clearly signed diversion routes.

A616 Westwood to Deepcar

The westbound carriageway will be fully closed overnight on Monday 20 June for resurfacing works. The closures will take place between 8pm and 6am, and drivers will be able to follow clearly signed diversion routes.

A616 Stocksbridge to Deepcar

The westbound carriageway will be fully closed overnight for five nights from Monday 20 June for resurfacing works. The closures will take place between 8pm and 6am, and drivers will be able to follow clearly signed diversion routes.

A64 Fulford to Askham Bryan

There will be narrow lanes and a 30mph speed limit until the work to the bridge joint is completed in July 2016. The eastbound side of the A road will be fully closed overnight for seven nights from Monday 20 June. The closures will take place between 8pm and 6am, and drivers will be able to follow clearly signed diversion routes.

A180/A160 Immingham, Humberside

There will be narrow lanes on the A180 and A160 along with a 50mph speed limit while work takes place to improve access to the Port of Immingham, including upgrading the A160 to a dual carriageway The project is due to be completed in autumn 2016. The westbound exit slip road and eastbound entry slip road at Brocklesby Interchange will be closed until autumn 2016.
