Planned roadworks in Yorkshire and the Humber: summary for Monday 11 April 2016 to Sunday 17 April

Summary of planned new and ongoing road improvements over the coming week.

The following summary of planned new and ongoing road improvements over the coming week is correct as of Friday 8 April 2016 and could be subject to change due to weather conditions or unforeseen circumstances. All our improvement work is carried out with the aim of causing as little disruption as possible.

M1 junction 30 to junction 31 Aston

The northbound carriageway will be reduced to a single lane overnight for five nights from Monday 11 April. The northbound exit slip road at junction 31 will be closed overnight on Tuesday 12 April and for a further two nights from Thursday 14 April. The northbound exit and entry slip roads at Woodall Services will be closed overnight on Tuesday 12 April. The northbound entry slip road at junction 31 will be closed overnight on Tuesday 12 April. The northbound entry slip road at junction 30 will be closed overnight on Thursday 14 April. The southbound exit and entry slip roads at Woodall Services will be closed overnight on Wednesday 13 April. The southbound entry slip road at junction 31 will be closed overnight on Monday 11 April and then for a further three nights from Friday 15 April. The closures are for works on the smart motorways. The closures will take place between 8pm and 6am, and drivers will be able to follow clearly signed diversion routes.

M1 junction 32 Thurcroft to junction 35a Stocksbridge

The hard shoulder is currently closed in both directions as part of the smart motorway scheme. The southbound entry slip road at junction 35a will be closed overnight for three nights from Monday 11 April. The entry slip at junction 35 will be closed overnight on Thursday 14 April. There will be narrow lanes and a 50mph speed limit until the project is completed in winter 2016. The closures will take place between 8pm and 6am, and drivers will be able to follow clearly signed diversion routes.

M1 junction 37 to junction 38 Haigh

The northbound carriageway will be reduced to a single lane overnight on the Wednesday 13 April for road markings. The closures will take place between 8pm and 6am.

M18 junction 5 Ings

The southbound side of the carriageway will be closed between the slip roads at junction 4 overnight on Tuesday 12 April for gantry works. The closures will take place between 8pm and 6am, and drivers will be able to follow clearly signed diversion routes.

M18 junction 1 to junction 2 Wadworth

The southbound side of the carriageway will be reduced to a single lane overnight for road markings on Friday 15 April. The closure will take place between 8pm and 6am.

M62 junction 24 to junction 25 Brighouse

The westbound side of the carriageway will be reduced to a single lane overnight on Tuesday 12 April for bridge works. The eastbound side of the carriageway will be reduced to a single lane overnight on Wednesday 13 April for bridge works. The closures will take place between 8pm and 6am.

M62 junction 22 to junction 23 Outlane

The eastbound carriageway will be reduced to a single lane overnight for three nights from Tuesday 12 April and the eastbound exit slip road at junction 23 will also be closed overnight for two nights from Wednesday 13 April for resurfacing works. The westbound carriageway will be reduced to a single lane overnight for two nights from Monday 11 April. The closures will take place between 8pm and 6am, and drivers will be able to follow clearly signed diversion routes.

M62 junction 24 Ainley Top

The westbound entry slip road at junction 24 will be closed overnight for five nights for drainage works from Monday 11 April. The closures will take place between 8pm and 6am, and drivers will be able to follow clearly signed diversion routes.

M62 junction 26 Bradford (M606 interchange)

There will be narrow lanes and a 30mph speed limit in place until a project to add an extra lane to the roundabout at the junction is completed in autumn 2016. The slip roads and roundabout will be reduced to a single lane overnight, between 7pm and 6am, from Monday 11 April for 7 nights. The westbound side of the carriageway will be reduced to a single lane for 5 nights from Monday 11 April.

M62 junction 31 Normanton

The eastbound entry slip road at junction 31 will be closed overnight on Tuesday 12 April for road marking works. The closures will take place between 8pm and 6am, and drivers will be able to follow clearly signed diversion routes.

M180 junction 2 Woodhouse

The eastbound exit slip road at junction 2 will be closed overnight for safety works on Tuesday 12 April. The closures will take place between 8pm and 6am, and drivers will be able to follow clearly signed diversion routes.

M180 junction 2 to junction 3 Midmoor

The eastbound side of the carriageway will be closed overnight for three nights from Wednesday 13 April for electrical works. The closure will take place between 8pm and 6am, and drivers will be able to follow clearly signed diversion routes.

M62 junction 27 to M621 junction 1 Beeston

The anticlockwise carriageway will be fully closed overnight for 5 nights from Monday 11 April for electrical works. The closure will take place between 8pm and 6am, and drivers will be able to follow clearly signed diversion routes.

M621 junction 7 Stourton

The anticlockwise entry slip road will be closed overnight for 5 nights for electrical works. The closure will take place between 8pm and 6am, and drivers will be able to follow clearly signed diversion routes.

M62/A162 junction 33 Ferrybridge

The A162 will be fully closed 24/7 until May 2016 for bridge work. Drivers will be able to follow a clearly signed diversion route.

A1M junction 36 to junction 37 Blyth

The northbound side of the carriageway will be fully closed overnight on Tuesday 12 April for barrier works. The closure will take place between 8pm and 6am, and drivers will be able to follow clearly signed diversion routes.

A1M junction 37 to junction 38 Redhouse

The northbound side of the carriageway will be fully closed overnight on Monday 11 April for barrier works. The closure will take place between 8pm and 6am, and drivers will be able to follow clearly signed diversion routes.

A64 Fulford to Askham Bryan

There will be narrow lanes eastbound and westbound and a 30mph speed limit until the project is completed in spring 2016. The eastbound side of the A road will be fully closed overnight on Saturday 16 April bridge works. The closures will take place between 8pm and 6am, and drivers will be able to follow clearly signed diversion routes.

A631 Tinsley Viaduct

The northbound carriageway will be fully closed overnight for four nights from Tuesday 12 April for kerb repairs. The closures will take place between 8pm and 6am, and drivers will be able to follow clearly signed diversion routes.

A180/A160 Immingham, Humberside

There will be narrow lanes on the A180 and A160 along with a 50mph speed limit while work takes place to improve access to the Port of Immingham, including upgrading the A160 to a dual carriageway. The project is due to be completed in autumn 2016. The westbound exit slip road and eastbound entry slip road at Brocklesby Interchange will be closed until August 2016.
