The following summary of planned new and ongoing road improvements over the coming week is correct as of Friday 7 August and could be subject to change due to weather conditions or unforeseen circumstances. All our improvement work is carried out with the aim of causing as little disruption as possible.

M1 junction 30 Chesterfield to junction 31 Worksop

There are currently narrow lanes and a 50mph speed limit in both directions as part of the smart motorway scheme. The hard shoulder is also closed, and the project is due to be completed in the autumn. The southbound exit slip road at junction 31 will be closed for 2 nights from 13 August. The northbound entry slip road at junction 31 will be closed for five nights from 11 August. The northbound exit slip road at junction 31 will be closed overnight on 15 August. The northbound and southbound side of the motorway will be reduced to a single lane for 5 nights from Monday 10 August. The closures will take place between 8pm and 6am, and drivers will be able to follow clearly-signed diversion routes.

M1 junction 34 Tinsley to junction 35a Stocksbridge

The hard shoulder is currently closed in both directions as part of the smart motorway scheme. There will be narrow lanes and a 50mph speed limit until the project is completed in winter 2016.

M1 junction 36 Tankersley

The southbound exit slip road will be closed for two nights for resurfacing works from Wednesday 12 August. The closures will take place between 8pm and 6am, and drivers will be able to follow clearly signed diversion routes.

M1 junction 38 Haigh

The northbound exit slip road will be closed for 2 nights for resurfacing works from Monday 10 August. The closures will take place between 8pm and 6am, and drivers will be able to follow clearly signed diversion routes.

M1 junction 39 Denby Dale to junction 42 (M62 interchange)

The hard shoulder is currently closed in both directions as part of the smart motorway scheme. There will be narrow lanes and a 50mph speed limit in place until the project is completed in autumn 2015. The northbound entry slip road at junction 39 and the northbound entry slip road at junction 41 will be closed overnight on Monday 10 August. The southbound entry slip road at junction 41 and the southbound exit slip road at junction 39 will be closed overnight on Tuesday 11 August. The southbound entry slip road at junction 41, the southbound exit at junction 40 and the southbound exit slip road at junction 39 will be closed overnight on Wednesday 12 August. The southbound exit slip road at junction 41 and the northbound entry slip road at junction 41 will be closed overnight on Thursday 13 August. The northbound and southbound side of the motorway will be reduced to a single lane for 5 nights from Monday 10 August. The closures will take place between 8pm and 6am, and drivers will be able to follow clearly signed diversion routes.

M18 junction 3 Doncaster to junction 4 Doncaster

The northbound side of the motorway between junctions 3 and 4 will be closed overnight for 2 nights for resurfacing works from Friday 14 August. The closures will take place between 8pm and 6am, and clearly signed diversions will be in place.

M18 junction 3 Doncaster

The northbound exit slip road will be closed for five nights from Monday 10 to 13 August and 16 August. The closures will take place between 8pm and 6am, and drivers will be able to follow clearly signed diversion routes.

M62 junction 26 Bradford (M606 interchange)

There will be narrow lanes and a 30mph speed limit in place until the project is completed in April 2016. The slip roads and roundabout at the junction will be reduced to a single lane overnight for 5 nights, between 7pm and 6am, from Monday 10 August.

M62 junction 26 Bradford (M606 interchange)

The eastbound entry slip road and 2 plus lane will be closed overnight on Sunday 16 August, the closure will take place between 8pm and 6am. There will be clearly signed diversion route.

M62 junction 29 Lofthouse (M1/M62 interchange)

The westbound exit slip road will be closed overnight on Thursday 13 August, the closure will take place between 8pm and 6am. There will be clearly signed diversion route.

M606 junction 3 Staygate

The southbound entry slip road will be closed for 5 nights for barrier renewal works from Monday 10 August. The closures will take place between 8pm and 6am, and drivers will be able to follow clearly signed diversion routes.

M606 junction 2 Euroway to junction 3 Staygate

The northbound side of the motorway will be reduced to a single lane overnight for 5 nights for carriageway improvement works from Monday 10 August, between 8pm and 6am.

M621 junction 4 Hunslet

The clockwise exit slip road will be closed for routine maintenance works on Saturday 15 August. The closures will take place between 5am and 10am, and drivers will be able to follow clearly signed diversion routes.

M621 junction 4 Hunslet

The anticlockwise exit slip road will be closed for routine maintenance works on Sunday 16 August. The closures will take place between 5am and 10am, and drivers will be able to follow clearly signed diversion routes.

A180/A160 Immingham, Humberside

There will be narrow lanes on the A180 and A160 along with a 50mph speed limit while work takes place to improve access to the Port of Immingham, including upgrading the A160 to a dual carriageway. The project is due to be completed in autumn 2016. The westbound exit slip road at Brocklesby will be closed until August 2016 and the eastbound entry slip road at Brocklesby will be closed until August 2016.

A616 Wortley, South Yorkshire

The westbound side of the trunk road will be closed overnight for carriageway improvement works on Monday 10 August. The closures will take place between 8pm and 6am, and drivers will be able to follow clearly signed diversion routes.

A616 Midhopestones, South Yorkshire

There will be convoy works eastbound and westbound for carriageway improvement works for 4 nights from Tuesday 11 August between 8pm and 6am.

A64 Copmanthorpe to Askham Bryan, York

The westbound side of the trunk road will be closed overnight for 4 nights for carriageway improvement works from Monday 10 August. The closures will take place between 8pm and 6am, and drivers will be able to follow clearly signed diversion routes.
