Planned roadworks in West Midlands: weekly summary for Monday 9 to Sunday 15 November 2015

The following summary of planned new and ongoing road improvements over the coming week is correct as of 4th November 2015 but could be subject to change due to weather conditions or unforeseen circumstances. All our improvement work is carried out with the aim of causing as little disruption as possible.

A38 Swinfen to Toyota Island/Swinfen to Weeford: drainage surveys

The slip roads will be closed in both directions overnight between 9pm and 6am from 9 November until 15 November. A diversion route will be clearly signposted.

A38 Hilliards Cross exit and entry Slip: electrical work

The southbound exit and entry slips will be closed overnight for one night from 8pm 10 November until 5am the following morning (11 November). A diversion route will be clearly signposted.

A46 Walsgrave Island to Binley (TGI) Island: resurfacing

The southbound carriageway will be closed overnight between 8pm and 6am from 11 November until 15 November. A diversion route will be clearly signposted.

A46 northbound exit slip to Stivichall junction: change to traffic management layout/moving temporary barriers

The northbound exit slip will be closed overnight for one night from 8pm 12 November until 6am the following morning (13 November). A diversion route will be clearly signposted.

A5 Dobbies to Emstrey: resurfacing

The eastbound carriageway will be closed overnight between 8pm and 6am from 9 November until 15 November. A diversion route will be clearly signposted.

A5 Churchbridge to Washbrook Lane: footway widening

The eastbound carriageway will be closed overnight between 8pm and 6am from 9 November until 15 November. A diversion route will be clearly signposted.

A50 Catchems Corner to Queensway: environmental work

The carriageway will be closed in both directions overnight between 8.30pm and 5am from 9 November until 13 November. A diversion route will be clearly signposted.

M42 junction 6 exit slip: sign repairs

The southbound exit slip will be closed overnight between 9pm and 6am from 9 November until 14 November. A diversion route will be clearly signposted.

M42 junction 10 exit slip: sign repairs

The southbound entry slip will be closed overnight for one night from 8pm 9 November until 6am the following morning (10 November). A diversion route will be clearly signposted.

The eastbound link to M42 northbound will be closed overnight for one night from 10pm 9 November until 5am the following morning (10 November). A diversion route will be clearly signposted.

M42 junction 6 entry slip: ramp metering work

The southbound entry slip will be closed overnight for one night from 10pm 11 November until 5am the following morning (12 November). A diversion route will be clearly signposted.

M42 junction 6 onto A45 westbound from roundabout: carriageway work

The southbound entry slip will be closed overnight for one night from 10pm 14 November until 8am the following morning (15 November). A diversion route will be clearly signposted.

M5 junction 5 exit slip: junction improvement work

The southbound exit slip will be closed overnight between 8pm and 6am from 9 November until 14 November. A diversion route will be clearly signposted.

M5 junction 1 to 2: bridge expansion joint renewal

The carriageway will be closed in both directions including slip roads overnight between 9pm and 6am from 9 November until 15 November. A diversion route will be clearly signposted.

M5 junction 5 slip road: mobilisation in advance of scheme

The slip roads will be closed in both directions overnight between 8pm and 6am from 9 November until 15 November. A diversion route will be clearly signposted.

M54 from M6 junction 10 to M54 junction 1: Safety fence inspection and re-tensioning

The westbound carriageway will be closed overnight between 10pm and 5am from 9 November until 14 November. A diversion route will be clearly signposted.

M6 junction 9 entry slip/Western Arm south: re-waterproofing and structural repairs

There will be a full 24 hour southbound entry slip closure from 14 September ongoing. A diversion route will be clearly signposted.

M6 junction 3a to junction 4: resurfacing

The northbound carriageway closed overnight for two nights between 8pm and 5.30am from 9 November until 11 November. A diversion route will be clearly signposted.

M6 junction 15 to junction 14, including junction 14 entry slip: resurfacing

The southbound carriageway and entry slip will be closed overnight between 9pm and 6am from 9 November until 15 November. A diversion route will be clearly signposted.

M6 junction 7 entry slip: barrier repairs

The southbound entry slip will be closed overnight for one night from 8pm 13 November until 6am the following morning (14 November). A diversion route will be clearly signposted.

M6 - M5 Western Arm, from M6 junction 8: resurfacing

The southbound link/Western Arm will be closed overnight between 9pm and 6am from 13 November until 15 November. A diversion route will be clearly signposted.
