Planned roadworks in West Midlands: Weekly summary for Monday 28 September to 4 October 2015

The following summary of planned new and ongoing road improvements over the coming week is correct as of 25 September 2015 but could be subject to change due to weather conditions or unforeseen circumstances. All our improvement work is carried out with the aim of causing as little disruption as possible.

A38 Swinfen to Toyota Island/Swinfen to Weeford: drainage surveys work

The carriageway and slip road will be closed overnight between 9pm and 6am from Monday 28 September until Sunday 4 October. A diversion route will be clearly signposted.

A38 Clay Mills exit slip road: verge work

The northbound exit slip road will be closed during the day between 10am and 3.30pm from 28 September until 4 October. A diversion route will be clearly signposted.

A38 Branston to Barton, including Branston entry slip road: installation of ice detection system

The southbound carriageway and entry slip road will be closed overnight for 2 nights between 8pm and 6am from Tuesday 29 September until 1 October. A diversion route will be clearly signposted.

A45 Stonebridge Highway eastbound: improvement scheme

The eastbound carriageway will be closed between Stivichall junction and Tollbar roundabout overnight from 8pm to 6am on Tuesday 29 September.

A45 Stonebridge Highway westbound: improvement scheme

The westbound carriageway will be closed between Tollbar roundabout and Stivichall junction overnight from 8pm to 6am on Wednesday 30 September. A diversion route will be clearly signposted.

A46 to A425 to Leek Wootton junction: carriageway surfacing

The northbound carriageway will be closed overnight for one night from 9pm on 30 September until 6am the following morning (1 October). A diversion route will be clearly signposted.

A5 Dobbies to Edgebold: resurfacing work

The westbound carriageway will be closed overnight between 8pm and 6am from 28 September until 4 October. A diversion route will be clearly signposted.

A5 Felton Butler Island: column installation

The eastbound carriageway will be closed overnight for one night from 8pm on 1 October until 4.30am on 2 October. A diversion route will be clearly signposted.

A5 Edgebold to Dobbies: resurfacing

The eastbound carriageway will be closed overnight between 8pm and 6am from 2 October until 4 October. A diversion route will be clearly signposted.

A500 Etruria Island to M6 junction 16: grass cutting

The carriageway will be closed in both directions overnight between 8pm and 5am from 28 September until 4 October. A diversion route will be clearly signposted.

A500 Alsagar exit and entry slip road: street lighting

The southbound exit and entry slip road will be closed overnight between 8.30pm and 6am from 29 September until 4 October. A diversion route will be clearly signposted.

M40 junction 15 to M42: soft estate work

The carriageway will be closed in both directions overnight for 2 nights between 8pm and 6am from 1 October until 3 October. A diversion route will be clearly signposted.

M42 junction 1 to junction 7: soft estate work

The carriageway will be closed in both directions overnight for 3 nights between 8pm and 6am from 28 September until 1 October. A diversion route will be clearly signposted.

The northbound carriageway will be closed overnight for one night between 10pm on 30 September until 5am the following morning (1 October). A diversion route will be clearly signposted.

The southbound carriageway and link roads will be closed overnight for 3 nights between 10pm and 6am from 1 October until 4 October. A diversion route will be clearly signposted.

M5 junction 5 exit slip road: junction improvement works

The southbound exit slip road will be closed overnight between 8pm and 6am from 28 September until 4 October. A diversion route will be clearly signposted.

M6 junction 9 entry slip road/Western Arm South: rewaterproofing & structural repairs

There will be a full 24 hour southbound entry slip road closure ongoing until 6am on 18 December. A diversion route will be clearly signposted.

M6 junction 13 to junction 12: resurfacing work

The southbound carriageway will be closed overnight for 3 nights between 10pm and 6am from 28 September until 1 October. A diversion route will be clearly signposted.

The link road carriageway will closed overnight for 2 nights between 9pm and 6am from 29 September until 1 October. A diversion route will be clearly signposted.

M6 junction 13 to junction 12: resurfacing

The southbound carriageway will be closed overnight between 8pm and 6am from 1 October until 4 October. A diversion route will be clearly signposted.
