Planned roadworks in West Midlands: Weekly summary for Monday 24 August – Sunday 30 August 2015

The following summary of planned new and ongoing road improvements over the coming week is correct as of 20 August 2015 but could be subject to change due to weather conditions or unforeseen circumstances. All our improvement work is carried out with the aim of causing as little disruption as possible.

A38 Barton-Under-Needwood – Hillards Cross: Carriageway resurfacing

The carriageway will be closed in both directions overnight between 8pm and 6am from 24 August until 28 August. A diversion route will be clearly signposted.

A38 Swinfen to Toyota Island/Swinfen to Weeford: Drainage survey works

The carriageway and slip road will be closed overnight between 9pm and 6am from 24 August until 30 August. A diversion route will be clearly signposted.

A423 Ryton Westbound Exit Slip to Oxford Road/A523 Junction: Street lighting

The westbound exit road will be closed overnight for one night from 8pm on 24 August until 6am the following morning (25 August). A diversion route will be clearly signposted.

A45 Stivichall to Tollbar: Carriageway resurfacing

The eastbound carriageway will be closed overnight between 8pm and 6am from 24 August until 27 August. A diversion route will be clearly signposted.

A45 Tollbar to Stivichall: Carriageway resurfacing

The westbound carriageway will be closed overnight between 8pm and 6am from 24 August until 30 August. A diversion route will be clearly signposted.

A49 Holme Lacey, Hereford: Traffic signals

The carriageway will be closed in both directions overnight between 8pm and 6am from 24 August until 30 August. A diversion route will be clearly signposted.

A5 – Marlborough Way – Mile Oak: Carriageway resurfacing

The westbound carriageway will be closed overnight for two nights between 8pm and 6am from 24 August until 30 August. A diversion route will be clearly signposted.

A5 Woodcote to Churncote: Carriageway resurfacing

The westbound carriageway will be closed overnight between 8pm and 6am from 24 August until 30 August. A diversion route will be clearly signposted.

A5 Mile Oak and Weeford Island: Carriageway resurfacing

The westbound carriageway will be closed overnight between 8pm and 6am from 26 August until 30 August. A diversion route will be clearly signposted.

A5 Lodge Lane, Churchbridge: Roundabout upgrades/signage/safety works

The carriageway will be closed in both directions overnight between 8pm and 6am from 24 August until 30 August. A diversion route will be clearly signposted.

A5 – M42 junction 10 to Dordon: Carriageway resurfacing

The eastbound carriageway will be closed overnight between 10pm and 6am from 24 August until 30 August. A diversion route will be clearly signposted.

A500 – Etruria Island to M6 Junction 16: Grass cutting

The carriageway will be closed in both directions overnight between 8pm and 5am from 24 August until 30 August. A diversion route will be clearly signposted.

A500 Alsagar exit and entry road: Street lighting

The southbound exit and entry road will be closed overnight between 8.30pm and 6am from 24 August until 30 August. A diversion route will be clearly signposted.

M42 junction 3a to junction 3, West Midlands: Carriageway resurfacing

The southbound carriageway will be closed overnight between 10pm and 6am from 24 August to 28 August. A diversion route will be clearly signposted.

The southbound carriageway will be closed overnight for one night from 9pm on 25 August until 6am the following morning (26 August). A diversion route will be clearly signposted.

M42 junction 7 to 6, including junction 6 exit road, West Midlands: Carriageway works

The southbound carriageway including junction 5 exit road will be closed overnight for one night from 10pm on 24 August until 5am the following morning (25 August). A diversion route will be clearly signposted.

The northbound carriageway will be closed overnight for one night from 10pm on 25 August until 6am the following morning (26 August). A diversion route will be clearly signposted.

M42 junction 4 exit slip, West Midlands: Electrical works

The southbound exit road will be closed overnight for one night from 8pm on 27 August until 5am the following morning (28 August). A diversion route will be clearly signposted.

M42 junction 10 exit slip, West Midlands: Emergency VSF repairs

The northbound exit road will be closed overnight for one night from 8pm on 27 August until 6am the following morning (28 August). A diversion route will be clearly signposted.

M42 junction 6 entry road, West Midlands: Ramp metering works

The southbound entry road will be closed overnight for one night from 10pm on 27 August until 5am the following morning (28 August). A diversion route will be clearly signposted.

M5 junction 7, West Midlands: Traffic signal installation

The northbound and southbound exit slip roads will be closed overnight between 10pm and 6am from 24 August to 30 August. A diversion route will be clearly signposted.

M5 junction 5 exit road, West Midlands: Junction improvement works

The southbound exit road will be closed overnight between 8pm and 6am from 24 August until 30 August. A diversion route will be clearly signposted.

M5 junction 8 Island to M50 junction 1, West Midlands: Resurfacing works

The northbound carriageway will be closed overnight for one night from 10pm on 25 August until 5am the following morning (26 August). A diversion route will be clearly signposted.

M54 junction 6 to 7, West Midlands: Carriageway resurfacing

The westbound carriageway, including the junction 6 entry road, will be closed overnight between 8pm and 6am from 24 August to 28 August. A diversion route will be clearly signposted.

M54 junction 1 to junction 7 exit and entry roads, West Midlands: Vegetation clearance

The exit and entry roads will be closed in both directions overnight between 9pm and 6am from 24 August to 30 August. Please note that only one slip will be closed on any one night. A diversion route will be clearly signposted.

M6 junction 6 Gravelly Hill Interchange, West Midlands: Re-waterproofing & structural repairs

There will be a full 24-hour eastbound link road closure from 24 August ongoing until 6am on 30 August. A diversion route will be clearly signposted.

M6 junction 9 entry road/ western arm southbound, West Midlands: Re-waterproofing & structural repairs

There will be a full 24-hour southbound entry road closure from 24 August ongoing until 6am on 30 August. A diversion route will be clearly signposted.

M6 junction 15 exit and entry roads, West Midlands: Vegetation clearance

The southbound exit and entry road will be closed overnight for two nights between 9pm and 5am from 24 August until 26 August. Please note that only one slip will be closed on any one night. A diversion route will be clearly signposted.

M6 junction 4 exit road, West Midlands: Parapet repairs

The southbound exit road will be closed overnight for two nights between 9pm and 6am from 24 August until 26 August. A diversion route will be clearly signposted.

M6 junction 12 to junction 13, including junction 12 entry road, West Midlands: Resurfacing works

The northbound carriageway including junction 12 entry road will be closed overnight between 10pm and 6am from 24 August until 28 August. A diversion route will be clearly signposted.

M6 junction 16 exit road, West Midlands: Vegetation clearance

The northbound exit road will be closed overnight for one night from 9pm on 25 August until 5am the following morning (26 August). A diversion route will be clearly signposted.
