The following summary of planned new and ongoing road improvements over the coming week is correct as of 14 October 2016 but could be subject to change due to weather conditions or unforeseen circumstances. All our improvement work is carried out with the aim of causing as little disruption as possible.

A38 – Streethay northbound exit slip road and southbound entry slip road: carriageway work

The slip roads will be closed 24 hours a day from 24 July until 11 November. A diversion route will be clearly signposted.

A38 – Hilliards Cross exit slip road: carriageway work

The northbound exit slip road will be closed 24 hours a day from 24 August until 21 December. A diversion route will be clearly signposted.

A38 – Alrewas to Burton slip road: carriageway resurfacing

The northbound carriageway and entry slip road will be closed overnight between 7pm and 7am from 17 October until 23 October. A diversion route will be clearly signposted.

The Links from Out of City A38M will be closed overnight between 9pm and 6am from 17 October until 23 October. A diversion route will be clearly signposted.

The road into City A38M will be closed overnight between 9pm and 6am from 17 October until 23 October. A diversion route will be clearly signposted.

A45 – Stonebridge highway, Stivichall Junction to Toll Bar End: bridge work

The eastbound carriageway will be closed overnight between 8pm and 6am from 17 October until 20 October. A diversion route will be clearly signposted.

A46 – M6 Junction 2 to A428: sign inspection and testing

The southbound carriageway will be closed overnight between 8.30pm and 6am from 20 October until 21 October. A diversion route will be clearly signposted.

A46 – M40 Junction 15 roundabout: road marking

The roundabout will be closed in both directions overnight for one night from 9pm on 17 October until 6am the following morning (18 October). A diversion route will be clearly signposted.

A49 – Bayston Hill: renewal of white lines and road studs

The carriageway will be closed in both directions overnight between 9pm and 6am from 17 October until 21 October. A diversion route will be clearly signposted.

A49 – Callow to Grafton: electrical work

The carriageway will be closed in both directions overnight from 8pm on 21 October until 6am on 22 October. A diversion route will be clearly signposted.

A5 – Ventura to Marlborough Way: carriageway work

The eastbound carriageway will be closed nightly, 8pm to 6am, from 17 October until 19 October. A diversion route will be clearly signposted.

A5 – A458 entry slip road: carriageway work

The westbound entry slip road will be closed overnight from 8pm on 20 October until 6am on 21 October. A diversion route will be clearly signposted.

A500 – A5006 from Michelin roundabout and A500 northbound sideway slip road: material deliveries

The northbound carriageway and slip road will be closed nightly, 8pm to 6am, from 17 October until 23 October. A diversion route will be clearly signposted.

A500 – Talke Island: bridge work

The west side of the island will be closed for 24 hours a day from 19 September ongoing until 23 December. A diversion route will be clearly signposted.

The slip into city Aston Expressway will be closed nightly, 9pm to 6am, from 17 October until 23 October. A diversion route will be clearly signposted.

M42 – junction 9: message carriageway work

The northbound carriageway will be closed overnight from 10pm on 18 October until 6am on 19 October. A diversion route will be clearly signposted.

M42 – junction 9 entry slip road: message carriageway work

The northbound entry slip road will be closed overnight from 10pm on 18 October until 6am on 19 October. A diversion route will be clearly signposted.

M42 – junction 5 exit slip road: signs repair

The southbound exit slip road will be closed overnight from 10pm on 18 October until 5am on 19 October. A diversion route will be clearly signposted.

M5 – junction 4a to 5: major scheme work

The carriageway will be closed in both directions between 8pm and 6am on 17 October and 20 October. A diversion route will be clearly signposted.

M5 – junction 5 to 6: major scheme work

The carriageway will be closed in both directions overnight from 8pm on 18 October until 6am on 19 October. The northbound carriageway will be closed on 21 October between the same times. A diversion route will be clearly signposted.

M5 – junction 5 entry slip roads: major scheme work

The northbound entry slip road will be closed nightly, 8pm to 6am, from 17 October until 20 October. The southbound entry slip road will be closed between the same times on 18 and 19 October. A diversion route will be clearly signposted.

M5 – junction 6 entry slip roads. West Midlands: major scheme work

The northbound entry slip road will be closed overnight between 8pm and 6am on 18, 19 October and 21 October. A diversion route will be clearly signposted.

M50 – junction 2 exit slip road: carriageway work

The eastbound exit slip road will be closed nightly, 9pm to 6am, from 17 October until 23 October. A diversion route will be clearly signposted.

M6 – junction 6 Salford Circus to M6: re-waterproofing and structural repair

There will be a 24-hour carriageway closure in both directions until 23 December 2017. A diversion route will be clearly signposted.

M6 – junction 6 exit slip road: carriageway work

The southbound and northbound exit slip roads will be closed nightly, 9pm to 6am, from 17 October until 23 October. A diversion route will be clearly signposted.

M6 – junction 10 to junction 8 including associated slip roads: carriageway work

The southbound carriageway and associated slip roads will be closed nightly, 9pm to 6am, from 17 October until 23 October. A diversion route will be clearly signposted.

M6 – junction 10 entry slip road: carriageway work

The southbound entry slip road will be closed nightly, 9pm to 6am, from 17 October until 23 October. A diversion route will be clearly signposted.

M6 – junction 9 entry and exit slip roads: carriageway repair

The southbound entry and exit slip road will be closed nightly, 9pm to 6am, from 17t October until 23 October. A diversion route will be clearly signposted.

M6 – junction 12 to 11 including junction 12 entry slip road: carriageway work

The southbound carriageway and entry slip road will be closed overnight from 9pm on 17 October until 6am on 18 October. A diversion route will be clearly signposted.

M6 – junction 5 exit slip road: electrical work

The northbound exit slip road will be closed overnight from 9pm on 17 October until 6am on 18 October. A diversion route will be clearly signposted.

The northbound carriageway and exit slip road will be closed overnight from 9pm on 19 October until 6am on 20 October. A diversion route will be clearly signposted.

M6 – junction 12 exit slip road: carriageway work

The northbound exit slip road will be closed overnight from 9pm on 20 October until 6am on 21 October. A diversion route will be clearly signposted.

M6 – junction 12 to 13 and all associated slip roads: carriageway work

The northbound carriageway and associated slip roads will be closed nightly, 6.30pm to 10am, on 22, 23 and 29 October only. A diversion route will be clearly signposted.
