The following summary of planned new and ongoing road improvements over the coming week is correct as of Friday 28 August but could be subject to change due to weather conditions or unforeseen circumstances. All our improvement work is carried out with the aim of causing as little disruption as possible.

More than 400 miles of roadworks are being removed from motorways and major roads across England this weekend, to help bank holiday trips go smoothly. Highways England always removes as many roadworks as possible at busy times, and will complete or lift 177 sets of roadworks for the late August getaway.
