The following summary of planned new and ongoing road improvements over the coming week is correct as of 4 March but could be subject to change due to weather conditions or unforeseen circumstances. All our improvement work is carried out with the aim of causing as little disruption as possible.

M2 junction 7, Brenley Corner, Kent: lighting investigation

Work to maintain safety on the M2 will start this week. Lane closures will be in place at the junction overnight, between 8pm and 6am, from Monday 7 March for 5 nights.

M20 junction 4 to 6, Maidstone, Kent: sign replacement

Work to improve journeys on the M20 will start this week. Closures will be in place overnight, between 8pm and 6am, with clearly signed diversions in place.

Lane closures will be in place on the coastbound carriageway between junctions 4 and 5 with traffic using the hardshoulder overnight, between 8pm and 6am, from Monday 7 March for 2 nights.

Lane closures will be in place on the coastbound carriageway between junction 4 and 5 with traffic using lane 3 overngiht, between 8pm and 6am, on Wednesday 9 March. In addition the exit slip road at junction 5 will be closed with a clearly signed diversion in place via junction 7.

The coastbound carriageway will be closed between junction 5 and 6 overnight, between 8pm and 6am, from Thursday 10 March for 2 nights. A clearly signed diversion will be in place via the distributer road.

The coastbound distributor road will be closed between junction 5 and 6 overnight, between 8pm and 6am, on Saturday 12 March. A clearly signed diversion will be in place via the Londonbound carriageway.

The coastbound carriageway will be closed between junction 5 and 6 overnight, between 8pm and 6am, on Sunday 13 March. A clearly signed diversion will be in place via the distributor road.

M20 junction 7 to 8, Maidstone, Kent: sign replacement

Work to improve journeys on the M20 will start this week. Lane closures will be in place on the London-bound carriageway overnight, between 8pm and 6am, from Monday 7 March for 2 nights.

M20 junction 9 Ashford, Kent: carriageway investigation

Work to maintain journeys by carrying out carriageway investigations will start this week. Lane closures will be in place on both carriageways at junction 9 overnight, between 8pm and 6am, from Monday 7 March for 5 nights.

A2/M25 to Ebbsfleet, Kent: carriageway resurfacing and sign replacement works

Work to improve journeys by resurfacing sections of the carriageway will continue this week.

The coastbound carriageway between the exit slip road at Bean and the A296 entry slip road will be closed overnight, between 9pm and 5am, on Monday 7 March. A clearly signed diversion for the coastbound carriageway will be in place via the B255 and the A296.

The coastbound carriageway between the exit slip road at Bean and the B259 entry slip road at Ebbsfleet will be closed overnight, between 9pm and 5am, on Tuesday 8 March. A clearly signed diversion will be in place via the B255, A226, A2260 and the B259.

The coastbound carriageway will be closed between the exit and dedicated slip road from the A282 at the M25 junction 2, with lane closures in place on the coastbound carriageway from the M25 up to the B259 junction overnight, between 9pm and 5am, on Wednesday 9 March. In addition the coastbound entry slip road from the junction 2 roundabout and Roman Road entry slip road will be closed with clearly signed diversions in place. The coastbound carriageway between the exit slip road at Bean and the B259 entry slip road at Ebbsfleet will be closed overnight, between 9pm and 5am, on Thursday 10 March. A clearly signed diversion will be in place via the B255, A226, A2260 and the B259. In addition The London-bound carriageway at Bean will be closed overnight, between 8pm and 6am on Thursday 10 March. A clearly signed diversion will be in place via the exit and entry slip road.

A20 Alkham Valley, Dover, Kent: feeder pillar renewal

Work to improve journeys on the A20 will start this week. Narrow lanes will be in place in both directions on Alkham Valley Road, between 9.30am and 3.30pm, from Monday 7 March for 5 days.

A20 Dover, Kent: junction improvement work

Work by the Port of Dover to improve journeys on the A20 continues this week. Lane closures will be in place with one lane remaining open in both directions between the Limekiln and York Street roundabouts 24/7 for the duration of the works. In addition, there will be no right turns from the A20 eastbound on to Union Street and from Union Street on to the A20. Clearly signed diversions will be in place.

A21 Tonbridge to Pembury, Kent: major improvement

Work to improve journeys on the A21 between Tonbridge and Pembury continues this week. Two way traffic lights will be in place between the Vauxhall interchange and Longfield Road roundabout overnight, between 8pm and 6am, from Monday 7 March for 5 nights. In addition, a 40mph speed limit will remain in place 24/7 between the Vauxhall interchange and the A228.

Two way traffic lights will be in place on the coastbound entry slip road at Vauxhall interchange, between 9.30am and 3.30pm, from Monday 7 March for 5 days.

A21 Lamberhurst Quarter, Kent: carriageway resurfacing

Work to improve journeys on the A21 at Lamberhurst Quarter will continue this week. The carriageway will be closed in both directions between the A21/A228 and Forstal Farm Roundabout overnight, between 8pm and 6am, from Monday 7 March for 5 nights. A clearly signed diversion will be in place via the A265, A267 and the A264.

A21 Barnetts Wood, Kent; carriageway investigation

Work to maintain safety on the A21 starts this week. There will be a lane one closure on the northbound carriageway overnight, between 8pm and 6am, from Tuesday 8 March for 4 nights.

A23 Pyecombe to Patcham, East Sussex: carriageway investigation

Work to maintain safety on the A23 continues this week. Lane closures will be in place on both carriageways overnight, between 8pm and 6am, from Monday 7 March for 2 nights.

A27 Falmer Footbridge, East Sussex: bridge maintenance

Work to replace the ramp on the footbridge over the A27 at Falmer continues this week. Narrow lanes and a 50mph speed limit will be in place on the westbound carriageway and the outside lane of the westbound exit slip road will be closed 24/7 until the end of the scheme. Work is due to be complete in May 2016.

A27 Adur Viaduct, West Sussex: resurfacing

Work to improve road safety on the A27 starts this week. The east and westbound entry and exit slip roads will be closed overnight, between 8pm and 6am, from Monday 7 March for 5 nights. A clearly signed diversion will be in place via the Holmbush interchange and Lancing roundabout.

A27 Upper Brighton Road, Sompting, West Sussex: carriageway resurfacing

Work to improve road safety on the A27 starts this week. The eastbound carriageway will be closed overnight, between 8pm and 5am, from Monday 7 March for 5 nights. A clearly signed diversion will be in place via the A24, A259 and A2025 through Worthing. Access to Lyons Farm Retail park will be maintained at all times.

A259 Pevensey, East Sussex; road marking replacement

Work to improve safety on the A259 between Pevensey and Bexhill-on-Sea continues this week. Temporary traffic lights and a 40mph speed limit will be in place between Pevensey and Bexhill-on-Sea with road users being escorted past the work site at 10mph overnight, between 8pm and 6am, from Monday 7 March for 7 consecutive nights.

A2070 Ashford, Kent: road marking replacement

Work to improve safety on the A2070 between M20 junction 10 and Brenzett roundabout continues this week. The westbound A2070 will be closed between Orbital Park Roundabout and Romney Marsh Roundabout overnight, between 8pm and 5am, on Monday 7 March for 2 nights. A clearly signed diversion route will be in place via the A292 and A2042. The slip road from the A2070 northbound to the A2042 westbound will also be closed with a clearly signed diversion via the A2070 eastbound entry slip road onto the A2070.

The eastbound A2070 will be closed between Romney Marsh Roundabout and Orbital Park Roundabout, overnight, between 8pm and 5am, on Wednesday 9 March for 2 nights. A clearly signed diversion route will be in place via the A2042 and the A292. The exit slip road from the A2042 eastbound to the A2070 southbound will also be closed with a clearly signed diversion via the Romney Marsh to join the main diversion.

The eastbound A2070 will be closed between Orbital Park Roundabout and M20 junction 10, overnight, between 8pm and 5am, on Friday 11 March. A clearly signed diversion route will be in place via the A2042 and A292.

The M20 junction 10 London bound entry slip road (A292 Hythe Road) from the M20 junction 10 roundabout will be closed overnight, between 8pm and 5am, on Saturday 12 March. A clearly signed diversion route will be in place via A2070, A2042 and A292.

Lane closures and temporary traffic lights will be in place on the M20 junction 10 roundabout overnight, between 8pm and 5am, on Sunday 13 March.
