M2 junctions 4 Gillingham to 6 Faversham, Kent: joint and bearing replacement

Work to maintain journeys by undertaking bridge joint and bearing replacement on the M2 between junctions 4 (Gillingham) and 6 (Faversham) will continue this week. Mount Lane and Bottom Pond Road will be closed underneath the motorway 24/7 until October. Clearly signed diversions will be in place for these local roads.

A2 Guston, Kent: drainage repair

Work to maintain road user safety by carrying out drainage work will start this week. A lane closure will be in place with two-way traffic lights between Guston Roundabout and Honeywood interchange overnight, between 8pm and 6am, from Monday 17 August (Monday to Friday). Work is due to be completed mid-September.

A21 Hurst Green, East Sussex: carriageway resurfacing and safety improvement

Work to improve safety for road users by carrying out resurfacing and reducing the speed limit will continue this week. The A21 will be closed in both directions between Johns Cross and Hastings overnight, between 9pm and 5am, from Monday 17 August (Monday to Friday only). A clearly signed diversion will be in place via the A2100 with access maintained for residents. Work is due to be completed in September.

A21 Tonbridge to Pembury, Kent: major improvement work

Work to improve journeys on the A21 between Tonbridge and Pembury will continue this week and is due to be complete in spring 2017. Temporary two-way traffic lights will be in place between Vauxhall and Longfield overnight, between 8pm and 6am, from Monday 17 August for 5 nights.

A27 Kingsham, West Sussex: new footbridge construction

Work to improve safety by installing a footbridge at Kingsham on the A27 near Chichester will continue this week. Lane closures will be in place in both directions overnight, between 8pm and 5am, from Monday 17 August for 5 nights.

In addition, temporary pedestrian traffic lights will be in place on Hunston Road across the A27, east of Whyke roundabout and across Whyke Road in both directions. A temporary 30mph speed limit will be in place between the Bognor roundabout and the Stockbridge roundabout during the same period. Work is due to be completed in August.
