Planned roadworks in Kent and Sussex: Weekly summary for Monday 13 April – Sunday 19 April 2015

The following summary of planned new and ongoing road improvements over the coming week is correct as of 10 April but could be subject to change due to weather conditions or unforeseen circumstances. All our improvement work is carried out with the aim of causing as little disruption as possible.

M23 junction 9, Horley, West Sussex: Carriageway resurfacing

Lane closures and a 50mph speed limit will be in place on the northbound carriageway overnight, between 8pm and 6am. Work is due to be complete by Saturday 19 April.

M23 junction 11, Crawley, West Sussex: Sign renewal

Lane closures in both directions will be in place overnight, between 8pm and 6am, weeknights only. Work is due to be complete in April.

A2 Jubilee Way, Dover, Kent: Lighting replacement

The coastbound carriageway between Guston roundabout and Eastern Docks roundabout will be closed overnight, between 8pm and 6am, from Monday 13 April for five consecutive nights. A clearly signed diversion will be in place via the A256 and the A20. In addition, one lane will continue to be closed on the London-bound carriageway between the Port of Dover and Guston roundabouts with a lane closure on the outer ring of Guston roundabout also being in place overnight, between 8pm and 6am, from Monday 13 April for five consecutive nights. Work is due to finish in May.

A259 Bexhill De La Warr: East Sussex, Non-destructive testing

Lane closures in both directions will be in place alternately through the night, between 8pm and 6am, on Monday 13 April.

A259 Guestling, East Sussex: Surfacing

Two way traffic lights will be in operation between 9am and 3pm from Monday 13 April for five days.

A27 Kingsham, West Sussex: New footbridge construction

Narrow lanes and a 50mph speed limit will remain in place until mid July. Temporary pedestrian traffic lights will be in place on Hunston Road adjacent to the work access and across the A27 in both directions east of the roundabout and across Whyke Road. A 30mph speed limit will be in place between the Bognor and Stockbridge roundabouts. There will also be overnight lane closures in both directions.

A27 Lewes East, West Sussex: Drainage maintenance

A lane closure will be in place in both directions overnight, between 8pm and 6am for three nights from Monday 30 March. Work is due to be complete by mid-April.

A27 Lyons Farm, West Sussex: Loop installation

A lane closure will be in place on the westbound carriageway overnight, between 8pm and 6am, on Sunday 19 April. A speed limit of 50mph will be in operation during this time.

A27 Southwick Tunnel, West Sussex: Routine maintenance

The tunnel will be closed in both directions overnight, between 8pm and 6am, for two nights from Friday 17 April. A clearly signed diversion will be in place via the A270 and A293.
