The following summary of planned new and on-going road improvements over the coming week is correct as of 6 May but could be subject to change due to weather conditions or unforeseen circumstances. All our improvement work is carried out with the aim of causing as little disruption as possible.

M1 junction 19, Leicestershire: road improvement scheme

On Monday 9 May, the M6 southbound from junction 1, the M1 northbound from junction 18 and the A14 westbound lane 1 leading to the A14-M1 link road will be closed overnight from 9pm until 6am.

On Tuesday 10 May, the M6 southbound from junction 1 will be closed overnight from 9pm until 6am.

On Wednesday 11 May, the A14 eastbound from Catthorpe to junction 1 will be closed overnight from 8pm until 6am and the M1 southbound from junction 20 will be closed overnight from 9pm until 6am.

On Friday 13 May, the M1 to M6 link road will be closed overnight from 9pm until 6am.

For three nights from Tuesday 10 May to Thursday 12 May, the A14 westbound from junction 2 to Catthorpe will be closed overnight from 8pm until 6am.

M1 junction 28 to 35a, Nottinghamshire/Derbyshire/Yorkshire: smart motorway

Until winter 2016, there will be various restrictions in place on the M1 between junctions 28 and 35a to allow for the construction of the smart motorway. These include lane closures, speed restrictions, hard shoulder running and overnight slip road or carriageway closures.

On Tuesday 10 and Wednesday 11 May, the northbound entry slip road at junction 28 will be closed overnight from 8pm until 6am.

On Thursday 12 May, the southbound exit and entry slip roads at junction 28 will be closed overnight from 8pm until 6am.

M45 Dunchurch to M1 junction 17, Northamptonshire: resurfacing

The eastbound carriageway will be closed overnight from Monday 9 May to Thursday 12 May between 7pm and 6am and on Friday 13 and Saturday 14 May from 7pm until 9am.

A52 Saxondale roundabout to Barrowby, Leicestershire: carriageway resurfacing

The eastbound and westbound carriageways will be closed overnight until Friday 13 May between 8pm and 6am. Diversions will be clearly signposted.

A5 Burbage, Leicestershire: carriageway resurfacing

The southbound entry slip road at junction 1 of the M69 will be closed overnight on 9, 10 and 11 May between 8pm and 6am. Diversions will be clearly signposted.

A46 Widmerpool, Nottinghamshire: carriageway resurfacing

The northbound entry slip road will be closed from 8pm on Friday 13 May to 6am on Monday 16 May. Diversions will be clearly signposted.
