A43 – Abthorpe roundabout, Northamptonshire: improvement scheme

There will be some lane closures on the carriageway along with reduced lane capacity on the roundabout itself as improvement work continues to take place.

A42, Leicestershire: carriageway repairs

Work will be taking place on the A42 from junction 13 (Ashby-de-la-Zouch) to the M1 junction at 23a (Castle Donington and the East Midlands Airport).

To complete the scheme, full carriageway closures will be required along with slip roads, with the following working hours:

  • From 21:00 to 06:00 on weeknights (Monday to Friday).
  • From 21:00 on Friday to 12:00 on Saturday and from 20:00 on Saturday evening through to 12:00 on Sunday for extended overnight shifts.

As part of the scheme, laybys along the work area will be fully closed, 24-hours-day, during the project. This will help maintain safety and prevent parked vehicles causing disruption to the work programme.
