Summary of planned new and on-going road improvements over the coming week.
The following summary of planned new and on-going road improvements over the coming week is correct as of 20 June but could be subject to change due to weather conditions or unforeseen circumstances. All our improvement work is carried out with the aim of causing as little disruption as possible.
M1 junction 28 to 35a, Nottinghamshire/Derbyshire/Yorkshire: smart motorway
Until winter 2016, there will be various restrictions in place on the M1 between junctions 28 and 35a to allow for the construction of the smart motorway. These include lane closures, speed restrictions, hard shoulder running and overnight slip road or carriageway closures.
On Monday 20 June, the northbound entry slip road at junction 29 will be closed between 8pm and 6am.
On Tuesday 21 June, the northbound entry slip road at junction 28 will be closed between 8pm and 6am.
On Wednesday 22 June, the northbound entry slip road at junction 28 will be in closed between 8pm and 6am.
On Thursday 23 June, the northbound exit slip road at junction 28 will be closed between 8pm and 6am.
On Friday 24 June, the northbound exit slip road at junction 28 will be closed between 8pm and 6am.
M1 junction 19, Leicestershire: improvement works
The A14 westbound will be closed from junction 2 to Catthorpe junction from 8pm to 6am and the M6 southbound will be closed from junction 1 (the slip road will remain open for A14 traffic) overnight from 20 to 24. It will be closed from 9pm to 6am. The M1 southbound will also be closed from junction 20 on 24 June from 9pm to 6am. Diversions will be signposted.
M1 junction 19 to 16, Northamptonshire: smart motorway
The northbound exit slip road at junction 18 and the entry slip road at junction 16 will be closed overnight from 9pm to 6am as part of a full carriageway closure from junction 16 to junction 18 on 25 June.
A46 Newark on Trent, Nottinghamshire: bridge maintenance works
The A46 northbound will be closed overnight until 20 June until 23 June between 8pm and 6am. A diversion route will be fully signposted.
