A42, Leicestershire: carriageway repairs

Work will be taking place on the A42 from junction 13 (Ashby-de-la-Zouch) to the M1 junction at 23a (Castle Donington and the East Midlands Airport).

In addition, there will also be two full weekend closures of the southbound carriageway from 16 September to 19 September and again from 30 September to 3 October. The closure will be in place from 9pm to 6am each day from Friday evening until Monday morning.

As part of the scheme, laybys along the work area will be fully closed, 24-hours-day, during the project. This will help maintain safety and prevent parked vehicles causing disruption to the work programme.
