Planned roadworks in Devon and Cornwall: Weekly summary for Monday 9 – Sunday 15 March 2015

The following summary of planned new and ongoing road improvements over the coming week is correct as of 9 January but could be subject to change due to weather conditions or unforeseen circumstances. All our improvement work is carried out with the aim of causing as little disruption as possible.

A30 Cardinham, east of Bodmin

Westbound lane closure 0730 - 1630 hrs for verge works 09-11 March.

A30 Roseworthy east of Bodmin

Eastbound lane closure 09.00 – 16.00 hrs for electrical works 9-10 March.

A30 Bolventor east of Bodmin

Westbound lane closure 09.30 – 15.30 hrs for BT works 9- 10 March.

A30 Cardinham east of Bodmin

Eastbound lane closure for verge work 07.30-16.30 hrs 12-13 March.

A30 Loggans Moor to St Earth, east of Penzance

Eastbound and westbound carriageway closed for bridge works 20.00-06.00 hrs 12-14 March.

A38 Dobwalls Bypass west of Liskeard

24hr contraflow and 40 mph speed limit for resurfacing until 21 May.

A38 Carkeel Roundabout, west of Plymouth

30 mph speed limit for junction improvement scheme until 31 March.

A38 between Dobwalls and Turfdown, east of Bodmin

Eastbound and westbound carriageway closures 20.00-06.00 hrs for routine maintenance 2-14 March. Diversion via Lostwithiel.

A38 Tideford, west of Plymouth

Traffic signals & convoy working 19.30 – 04.30 hrs for resurfacing 9-12 March.

A38 Between Carkeel rbt & Latchbrook, west of Plymouth

Westbound carriageway closure 1900 - 0600 hrs for junction improvement scheme.9-12 March. Diversion via B3271 Callington Road, Burranton Road & Liskeard

A38 Between Latchbrook & Carkeel rbt, west of Plymouth

24hr eastbound lane closure for junction improvement scheme 9-31 March.

A38 Menheniot, east of Liskeard

Eastbound and Westbound lane closures 09.00 – 16.00 hrs for electrical works 11-12 March

The Highways Agency is working with the industry and road users to reduce the risks of working on the roads. For the safety of road workers and all road users, when you are approaching roadworks:

  • Keep within the speed limit – it is there for your safety.
  • Get into the correct lane in good time – don’t keep switching.
  • Concentrate on the road ahead, not the roadworks.
  • Be alert for works’ traffic leaving or entering roadworks.
  • Keep a safe distance – there could be queues in front.
  • Observe all signs – they are there to help you.
