Planned roadworks in Devon and Cornwall: weekly summary for Monday 29 June to Sunday 5 July 2015

The following summary of planned new and ongoing road improvements over the coming week is correct as of 22 June, but could be subject to change due to weather conditions or unforeseen circumstances. All our improvement work is carried out with the aim of causing as little disruption as possible.

A38 Kennford, south of Exeter: junction improvement

There is a 24hr contraflow and 50mph speed limit until 31 July. Work in the coming weeks includes westbound lane closures from 7pm to 3pm Monday to Friday, and 24-hours on Saturday and Sunday. The eastbound carriageway will be closed, with a contraflow, from 8pm to 6am each night. The diversion goes past Exeter Racecourse and onto A380.

Surfacing will be carried out from 8pm-6am June 26 to 30. To enable the work to be carried out safely there will be a lane closure on the A380 in place from 8pm, 28 June until 6am, 30 June and a closure on northbound on-slip onto the A38 at Splatford. Diversion from Kennford onto the southbound carriageway of the A380, then Telegraph Hill to Haldon Chalets Junction to join the A38 northbound.

A38 Drumbridges, Heathfield, south of Exeter: junction improvement

There are various lane closures on sliproads and the roundabout until 31 July. Westbound and eastbound carriageway closure 17pm-6am. Diversion via exit & entry slip roads.

A38 Carkeel Roundabout, Saltash: junction improvement

There is a temporary 30mph speed limit in place until 31 July. The westbound carriageway between Carkeel roundabout and Latchbrook will be closed from 7pm to 6am Monday to Friday, with a diversion via the B3271 Callington Road, Burraton Road and Liskeard Road. There will also be a westbound lane closure between Saltash Tunnel and Carkeel roundabout from 7pm to 6am during weekdays, with eastbound lane closures during the same period in the opposite direction.

A38 Dart Bridge, east of Plymouth

Lane closure on westbound exit slip 7pm to 6am for surveys 2 to 3 July.

A38 Buckfastleigh, east of Plymouth

Eastbound lane closure 7pm to 6am Monday to Friday for surveys 3 to 10 July.

A38 Tamar Bridge, Plymouth

24hr westbound lane closure 8pm Friday to 6am Monday in advance of works on Tamar bridge. During this time the bridge deck will be closed and traffic will run on the north and south cantilevers. 3 to 6 July.

A38 Between Saltash Tunnel & Carkeel Roundabout, west of Plymouth

Westbound lane closure 9.30am to 3.30 pm Monday to Friday for junction improvement scheme. 29 June to 10 July.

A38 Moorswater, west of Liskeard

24hr eastbound lane closure for barrier repairs 29 to 30 June.

A38 Carkeel Roundabout to Saltash Tunnel, west of Plymouth

Eastbound lane closure 7pm to 6am for junction improvement scheme. 29 June to 10 July.

A30 between Temple and Higher Carblake, east of Bodmin – junction improvement

There are 24hr lane closures eastbound and westbound, with a temporary 40mph limit and temporary traffic lights between 8pm and 6am until 31 March 2017.

A30 Between Carminow jct, Bodmin & Kennards House, west of Launceston

Eastbound carriageway closure 8pm to 6am Monday to Friday for Temple to Higher Carblake improvement scheme. Diversion from Highgate Hill jct, Indian Queens, west of Bodmin via A39 & A395 to Kennards House, west of Launceston. A38 traffic wishing to join A30. 29 June to 6 July.

A30 Between Chiverton Cross & Chybucca, east of Redruth

Eastbound and westbound carriageway closure 8pm to 10.30pm for Police investigation. Diversion via A3075 & B3284, 29 June.

A30 Between Kennards House, west of Launceston & Carminow, Bodmin

Westbound carriageway closure 8pm-6am Monday to Friday for Temple to Higher Carblake improvement scheme. Diversion via A395 and A39 to Indian Queens. Local traffic can access A30 between Kennards House & Temple. 29 June to 7 July.
