The following summary of planned new and ongoing road improvements over the coming week is correct as of the above date but could be subject to change due to weather conditions or unforeseen circumstances. All our improvement work is carried out with the aim of causing as little disruption as possible.
Bristol
M32 junction 1 to junction 2: MetroBus scheme (Bristol City Council work)
Narrow lanes with 50mph speed restrictions will be in operation northbound and southbound until the end of November.
M32 junction 2 to junction 3: MetroBus scheme (Bristol City Council work)
Northbound and southbound carriageways will be closed nightly, 9pm to 6am, from 31 October until 4 November. Diversion will be clearly signposted.
M32 junction 2 to junction 3: MetroBus scheme (Bristol City Council work)
Narrow lanes with 40mph speed restrictions will be in operation northbound and southbound from 6am on 1 November until mid-March 2017.
Gloucestershire
M5 junction 14 to junction 12: bridge maintenance
Narrow lanes with 50mph speed restrictions will be in place on the southbound and northbound carriageways until June 2017.
M5 junction 10 to junction 11A: structures
Narrow lanes with 50mph speed restrictions will be in operation northbound and southbound until January 2017.
M5 junction 12 to junction 14: traffic management
Southbound carriageway will be closed overnight from 9pm on 2 November until 6am on 3 November. Diversion will be clearly signposted.
M5 junction 14 to junction 12: traffic management
Northbound carriageway will be closed overnight from 9pm on 3 November until 6am on 4 November. Diversion will be clearly signposted.
A40 Elmbridge Court roundabout: construction work
Narrow lanes with 40mph speed restrictions will be in place on Elmbridge Court Roundabout until February 2018.
Wiltshire
M4 junction 16: loop cutting
Eastbound entry slip road will be closed overnight from 8pm on 31 October until 6am the following morning. Diversion will be clearly signposted.
M4 junction 17: resurfacing
Westbound carriageway between exit and entry slip roads will be closed overnight from 10pm on 1 November until 6am on 2 November. Diversion will be clearly signposted.
A303 Chicklade to Deptford: resurfacing
Eastbound carriageway will be closed nightly, 8pm to 6am, from 31 October until 2 November. Diversion will be clearly signposted.
A303 Yarnbury to Winterbourne Stoke: survey work
Eastbound and westbound carriageways will be closed overnight from 8pm on 3 November until 6am on 4 November. Diversion will be clearly signposted.
Somerset
M5 junction 22 to junction 23: barrier construction
Narrow lanes with 50mph speed restrictions, and lane three closure on southbound and northbound carriageways, will be in place from 6am on 1 November until 22 December.
M5 junction 23: traffic management installation
Northbound entry slip road will be closed overnight from 8pm on 1 November until 6am on 2 November. Diversion will be clearly signposted.
M5 junction 26: resurfacing
Southbound entry slip road will be closed overnight from 8pm on 1 November until 6am on 2 November. Diversion will be clearly signposted.
Northbound carriageway between exit slip road and entry slip road will be closed from 8pm on 2 November until 6am on 3 November. Diversion will be clearly signposted.
Northbound entry slip road will be closed from 8pm on 3 November until 6am on 4 November. Diversion will be clearly signposted.
Southbound carriageway between Exit Slip road and Entry Slip road will be closed from 8pm 4 November until 6am on 5 November. Diversion will be clearly signposted.
A303 South Petherton to Southfields: bridge work
Lane closure with overnight traffic lights will be in place, Monday to Saturday only, until 9pm on 15 November. Eastbound and westbound carriageway will be closed overnight from 9pm on 1 November until 6am on 2 November. Diversion will be clearly signposted.
A303 Wincanton to Sparkford: resurfacing
Westbound carriageway will be closed overnight from 8pm on 4 November until 6am on 5 November. Diversion will be clearly signposted.
