M3 junctions 2 (M25) to 1 Sunbury, Surrey: bridge joint replacement / resurfacing

Work to improve journeys by carrying out bridge joint replacement and resurfacing on the structure that carries the M3 over the River Thames continues this week. The eastbound carriageway will be closed overnight, between 10pm and 5.30am, from Monday 31 October for 3 nights. A clearly signed diversion will be in place via the M25 junction 13, A30 and A308.

M3 junctions 2 (M25) to 4a Farnborough, Hampshire: Smart motorway improvement

Work to reduce congestion and improve journey times continues this week with narrow lanes a 50mph speed limit in place on both carriageways between junctions 2 and 4a, with a free recovery service operating 24 hours a day. The southbound carriageway between junctions 2 and 3 will be closed overnight, between 8pm and 5.30am, from Monday 31 October for 5 nights. Work on Saturday morning will finish at 7am. A clearly signed diversion will be in place via M25 junction 13, A30 and the A322.

The northbound carriageway between junctions 3 and 2 will be closed overnight, between 8pm and 5.30am, from Monday 31 October for 5 nights. Work on Saturday morning will finish at 7am. A clearly signed diversion will be in place via the A322 and A30 to M25 junction 13.

M4 junction 5 Langley, Berkshire: bridge joint replacement

Work to maintain safety by carrying out bridge joint replacement will start this week. The westbound carriageway will be closed between the slip roads overnight, between 10pm and 5.30am, from Thursday 3 November for 3 consecutive nights. Work on Friday will start at 11pm. A clearly signed diversion will be in place via the exit and entry slip roads.

M11 junction 4 (A406), Greater London: resurfacing

Work to improve journeys by carrying out resurfacing will start this week. The dedicated link road from the M11 southbound to the A406 eastbound will be closed overnight, between 10pm and 5.30am on Monday 31 October. A clearly signed diversion will be in place via A104 Waterworks Corner and return.

M11 junction 6 (M25), Essex: resurfacing

Work to improve journeys by carrying out resurfacing will start this week. The northbound carriageway between the slip roads will be closed overnight, between 10pm and 5.30am, from Monday 31 October for 3 nights. A clearly signed diversion will be in place via the M25 anti-clockwise to junction 26 and return.

M23 junction 8 (M25), Surrey: bridge inspection

Work to maintain safety by carrying out bridge inspections will start this week. The dedicated link road from the M23 southbound to the M25 in both directions will be closed overnight, between 10pm and 5am, on Monday 31 October. A clearly signed diversion will be in place via M23 junction 9 and return.

M25 junctions 10 (A3) to 11 Chertsey, Surrey: bridge joint replacement

Work to improve journeys by carrying out bridge joint replacement on the structure that carries the M25 over the River Wey and the South West Trains railway line continues this week. The clockwise carriageway and junction 10 entry slip road will be closed overnight, between 10pm and 6am, on Saturday 5 November. A clearly signed diversion will be in place via the A3, A245, A320 and A317 to junction 11.

M25 junction 11 Chertsey, Surrey: sign maintenance

Work to maintain safety by carrying out sign maintenance will start this week. The clockwise exit slip road will be closed overnight, between 10pm and 5am, on Tuesday 1 November. A clearly signed diversion will be in place via junction 13 and return. The clockwise entry slip road will be closed overnight, between 10pm and 5am, on Wednesday 2 November. A clearly signed diversion will be in place via junction 10 and return.

M25 junction 14 Heathrow Airport, Greater London: electrical repair

Work to maintain safety by carrying out electrical repairs will start this week. The anti-clockwise exit slip road will be closed overnight, between 10pm and 5am, on Monday 31 October. A clearly signed diversion will be in place via junction 13 and return.

M25 junction 22 London Colney, Hertfordshire: resurfacing

Work to improve journeys by carrying out resurfacing will start this week. The anti-clockwise entry slip road will be closed overnight, between 10pm and 5.30am, from Thursday 3 November for 4 consecutive nights. A clearly signed diversion will be in place via junction 23 and return.

M25 junction 23 South Mimms, Hertfordshire: sign maintenance

Work to maintain safety by carrying out sign maintenance will start this week. The anti-clockwise entry slip road will be closed overnight, between 10pm and 5am, on Tuesday 1 November. A clearly signed diversion will be in place via junction 24 and return.

M25 junction 27 (M11), Essex: resurfacing

Work to improve journeys by carrying out resurfacing will start this week. The dedicated link road from the M25 anti-clockwise to the M11 in both directions will be closed overnight, between 10pm and 5.30am, from Monday 31 October for 5 nights. Work on Friday will start at 11pm. A clearly signed diversion will be in place via junction 26 and return.

M25 junctions 30 (Thurrock) to 31 (Lakeside), Essex: major improvement

Work to reduce congestion and improve safety continues this week as part of a major scheme to widen the A13 and the M25 junction 30 roundabout and slip roads. On the A13, narrow lanes and a 40mph speed limit are in place and on the M25, narrow lanes and a 50mph speed limit are in place. A free recovery service will operate 24 hours a day. There will be additional overnight lane and slip road closures as required. All closures will have a clearly signed diversion in place.

A temporary road layout is in use on the northbound link road between junctions 31 and 30. The layout will remain in place 24/7 to enable the construction of a retaining wall. Drivers are advised to plan their journeys and allow additional time.

The anti-clockwise (northbound) link road between junctions 31 and 30 will be closed overnight, between 10pm and 5.30am, from Monday 31 October for 3 nights. A clearly signed diversion will be in place via the A1306 to the Wennington Interchange and A13 eastbound to M25 junction 30.

The clockwise carriageway between junctions 30 and 31 will be closed overnight, between 10pm and 5.30am, from Monday 31 October for 5 nights. Work on Friday will start at 11pm. A clearly signed diversion will be in place via the dedicated link road between junctions 30 and 31.

The anti-clockwise carriageway between junctions 31 and 30 will be closed overnight, between 10pm and 5.30am, from Thursday 3 November for 2 nights. Work on Friday will start at 11pm. A clearly signed diversion will be in place via the A1306 to Wennington Interchange and the A13 to M25 junction 30.

A1(M) junction 1 (M25), Hertfordshire: vegetation cutting and planting

Work to maintain safety by carrying out vegetation work will start this week. The southbound entry slip road will be closed overnight, between 10pm and 5am, on Tuesday 1 November. A clearly signed diversion will be in place via junction 2 and return.

A1(M) junctions 2 Welham Green to 4 North Hatfield, Hertfordshire: tunnel maintenance

Work to maintain safety by carrying out maintenance in the Hatfield Tunnel. The southbound carriageway between junctions 4 and 2 will be closed overnight, between 10pm and 5am, on Wednesday 2 November. A clearly signed diversion will be in place via the A1001.

The northbound carriageway between junctions 3 and 4 will be closed overnight, between 10pm and 5am, on Thursday 3 November. A clearly signed diversion will be in place via the A1001.

A13/M25 junction 30 Thurrock, Essex: major improvement

Work to reduce congestion and improve safety continues this week as part of a major scheme to widen the A13 and the M25 junction 30 roundabout and slip roads. The A13 eastbound between the slip roads at junction 30 will be closed overnight, between 10pm and 5.30am, from Monday 31 October for 3 nights. A clearly signed diversion will be in place via the exit and entry slip roads. The A13 eastbound between the A1306 (Wennington Interchange) and the A1012 (North Stifford) will be closed overnight, between 10pm and 5.30am, from Thursday 3 November for 2 nights. Work on Friday will start at 11pm. A clearly signed diversion will be in place via the A1306, M25 junction 31 and the A1012 to North Stifford.

A282 (M25) Dartford – Thurrock Crossing: maintenance

Work to improve journeys at the Dartford Crossing continues this week. The following closures will be in place with a fully signed diversion for oversized vehicles for the northbound east tunnel closures.

  • Monday 31 October (8.30pm to 5.30am) northbound east tunnel
  • Tuesday 1 November (8.30pm to 5.30am) northbound east tunnel
  • Wednesday 2 November (8.30pm to 5.30am) northbound east tunnel
  • Thursday 3 November (8.30pm to 5.30am) northbound east tunnel
  • Friday 4 November (9pm to 5.30am) northbound east tunnel
  • Saturday 5 November (8.30pm to 6am) northbound west tunnel
  • Sunday 6 November (8.30pm to 5.30am) northbound east tunnel

The QEII Bridge will have three (of four) lanes closed overnight, between 10pm and 5.30am, from Monday 31 October for 5 nights. Work on Friday will start at 11pm.

A282 junction 1a Swanscombe, Kent: tunnel maintenance

Work to maintain safety by carrying out tunnel maintenance continues this week. The northbound entry slip road will be closed overnight, between 9pm and 5.30am, from Friday 4 November for 2 nights. A clearly signed diversion will be in place via the A282 southbound to junction 1b and return.

A282 junctions 2 (A2) to 1a Swanscombe, Kent: resurfacing

Work to improve journeys by carrying out resurfacing will start this week. The northbound carriageway will be closed overnight, between 10pm and 5.30am, on Sunday 6 November. A clearly signed diversion will be in place via the A2, B255 and A206.

A282 junction 1b Dartford, Kent: resurfacing

Work to improve journeys by carrying out resurfacing will start this week. The northbound entry slip road will be closed overnight, between 10pm and 5.30am, on Sunday 6 November. A clearly signed diversion will be in place via junction 2, A2, B255 and A206.

A406 Woodford, Greater London: resurfacing

Work to improve journeys by carrying out resurfacing will start this week. The dedicated link road from the A406 westbound to the M11 northbound will be closed overnight, between 10pm and 5.30am, from Thursday 3 November for 2 nights. Work on Friday will start at 11pm. A clearly signed diversion will be in place via the A104 Waterworks Corner and return.
