Planned roadworks in and around the M25: Weekly summary for Monday 18 May to Sunday 24 May
The following summary of planned new and ongoing road improvements over the coming week is correct as of 14 May 2015 but could be subject to change due to weather conditions or unforeseen circumstances. All our improvement work is carried out with the aim of causing as little disruption as possible.

M1 junction 3, Greater London: carriageway resurfacing
The northbound entry slip road will be closed overnight, between 10pm and 5.30am, on Tuesday 19 May. A clearly signed diversion will be in place via the A41 to join the M1 at junction 4.
M1 junctions 4 – 5, Greater London: carriageway resurfacing
The northbound carriageway will be closed overnight, between 10pm and 5.30am, from Wednesday 20 May for two nights. A clearly signed diversion will be in place via the A406 to the Brent Cross interchange and A41 before joining the M1 at junction 5.
M1 junction 5, Hertfordshire: litter clearance
The northbound entry and exit slip roads will be closed overnight, between 10pm and 5am, on Monday 18 May. A clearly signed diversion will be in place for the entry slip road via the M1 southbound to junction 4 and return. A clearly signed diversion will be in place for the exit slip road via junction 6 and return.
M1 junction 6, Hertfordshire: litter clearance
The northbound entry and exit slip roads will be closed overnight, between 10pm and 5am, on Tuesday 19 May. A clearly signed diversion will be in place for the entry slip road via the A405 and A414 to M1 junction 8. A clearly signed diversion will be in place for the exit slip road via junction 8 and return.
The southbound entry and exit slip roads will be closed overnight, between 10pm and 5am, on Wednesday 20 May. A clearly signed diversion will be in place for the entry slip road via the M1 northbound to junction 8 and return. A clearly signed diversion will be in place for the exit slip road via junction 5 and return.
M11 junction 6, Essex: carriageway sweeping
The north and south bound link roads to the M25 clockwise will be closed overnight, between 10pm and 5am, on Wednesday 20 May. A clearly signed diversion will be in place for the northbound link road via junction 7 and return. A clearly signed diversion will be in place for the southbound link road via the M25 anti-clockwise to junction 26 and return.
The north and south bound link roads to the M25 anti-clockwise will be closed overnight, between 10pm and 5am, on Thursday 21 May. A clearly signed diversion will be in place for the northbound link road via junction 7 and return. A clearly signed diversion will be in place for the southbound link road via the M25 clockwise to junction 28 and return.
M25 junction 7, Surrey: structure maintenance
The anti-clockwise link roads to both carriageways of the M23 will be closed overnight, between 10pm and 5.30am, from Monday 18 May for five nights. Work on Friday will start at 11pm. A clearly signed diversion will be in place via junction 6.
M25 Cobham Services, Surrey: carriageway sweeping/litter clearance
The clockwise and anti-clockwise entry and exit slip roads to the motorway services area will be closed overnight, between 10pm and 5am, on Monday 18 May. The closures will not be at the same time and will switch from clockwise to anti-clockwise during the night. Clearly signed diversion routes will be in place via junction 9 or junction 10 and return.
M25 junction 10, Surrey: litter clearance
The clockwise entry and exit slip roads will be closed overnight, between 10pm and 5am, on Tuesday 19 May. A clearly signed diversion will be in place for the entry slip road via the M25 anti-clockwise to junction 9 and return. A clearly signed diversion will be in place for the exit slip road via junction 11 and return.
The anti-clockwise entry and exit slip roads will be closed overnight, between 10pm and 5am, on Wednesday 20 May. A clearly signed diversion will be in place for the entry slip road via the M25 clockwise to junction 11 and return. A clearly signed diversion will be in place for the exit slip road via junction 9 and return.
M25 junction 10, Surrey: survey work
The anti-clockwise entry slip road will be closed overnight, between 10pm and 5.30am, on Thursday 21 May. A clearly signed diversion will be in place via the M25 clockwise to junction 11 and return.
M25 junction 13, Surrey: carriageway sweeping/barrier repair
The clockwise exit slip road will be closed overnight, between 10pm and 5am, from Monday 18 May for two nights. A clearly signed diversion will be in place via junction 14 and return.
M25 junction 14, Surrey: carriageway sweeping
The anti-clockwise entry slip road will be closed overnight, between 10pm and 5am, from Wednesday 20 May for two nights. A clearly signed diversion will be in place via the A3113, A3044 and A30 to M25 junction 13.
M25 junction 25, Hertfordshire: tunnel maintenance
The clockwise entry slip road will be closed overnight, between 10pm and 5am, from Wednesday 20 May for two nights. A clearly signed diversion will be in place via the M25 anti-clockwise to junction 24 and return.
M25 junction 26, Essex: carriageway sweeping
The clockwise entry and exit slip roads will be closed overnight, between 10pm and 5am, on Monday 18 May. A clearly signed diversion will be in place for the entry slip road via the M25 anti-clockwise to junction 25 and return. A clearly signed diversion will be in place for the exit slip road via junction 28 and return.
M25 junction 27, Essex: carriageway sweeping
The clockwise link roads to both carriageways of the M11 will be closed overnight, between 10pm and 5am, on Tuesday 19 May. A clearly signed diversion will be in place via junction 28 and return.
M25 junction 28, Essex: resurfacing
The clockwise dedicated link road to the A12 eastbound will be closed overnight, between 10pm and 5am, from Monday 18 May for five nights. A clearly signed diversion will be available via the junction 28 roundabout.
M25 junction 31, Essex: carriageway resurfacing
The clockwise entry slip road will be closed overnight, between 10pm and 5.30am, from Monday 18 May for four nights. A clearly signed diversion will be in place via junction 30.
M26 junction 1 (M25 junction 5) to 2a, Kent: carriageway resurfacing
The eastbound carriageway will be closed overnight, between 10pm and 5.30am, from Monday 18 May for four nights. A clearly signed diversion will be in place via the M25 junction 3 and the A20 to join the M26 at junction 2a.
M40 junction 1a, Buckinghamshire: carriageway repair
The north and south bound link roads to the M25 anti-clockwise will be closed overnight, between 10pm and 5am, on Monday 18 May. A clearly signed diversion will be in place via the M25 clockwise to junction 17 and return.
A2 Darenth, Kent: Dart Charge construction work
The westbound link road to the A282 northbound will be closed overnight, between 10pm and 5.30am, from Monday 18 May for four nights. A clearly signed diversion will be in place via the roundabout and link road to junction 1b.
A3 Wisley, Surrey: litter clearance
The southbound entry and exit slip roads will be closed overnight, between 10pm and 5am, on Monday 18 May. A clearly signed diversion will be in place for the entry slip road via the A3 southbound to Ockham junction and return. A clearly signed diversion will be in place for the exit slip road via the Painshill junction and return.
A3 Ockham, Surrey: litter clearance
The southbound exit slip road will be closed overnight, between 10pm and 5am, on Thursday 21 May. A clearly signed diversion will be in place via Burpham, the A3100 and B2215.
A13/M25 junction 30, Thurrock, Essex: major improvement
Narrow lanes and a 40mph speed limit are in place with a free recovery service operating 24 hours a day. There will be additional overnight lane and slip road closures as required. All closures will have a clearly signed diversion in place.

A13 North Stifford to Wennington, Essex: major improvement
The westbound carriageway including the entry slip road from the M25 junction 30 and A126 will be closed overnight, between 10pm and 5.30am, from Monday 18 May for two nights. A clearly signed diversion will be in place via the A1012, West Thurrock Arterial Road and A1306.
A30, Surrey: carriageway sweeping
The westbound link road to the M25 anti-clockwise will be closed overnight, between 10pm and 5am, from Monday 18 May for two nights. A clearly signed diversion will be in place via the roundabout.
A30, Glanty loop, Surrey: carriageway sweeping
The anti-clockwise slip road will be closed overnight, between 10pm and 5am, from Monday 18 May for two nights. A clearly signed diversion will be in place via the M25 clockwise to junction 14 and return.
A282 junction 1a, Kent: Dart Charge construction work
The northbound carriageway will be closed overnight, between 10pm and 5.30am, on Monday 18 May. A clearly signed diversion will be in place via the exit and entry slip roads.
The northbound entry slip road will be closed overnight, between 8:30pm and 5.30am, from Tuesday 19 May for three nights. A clearly signed diversion will be in place via the A282 southbound to junction 1b and return.
A282 junction 2, Kent: Dart Charge construction work
The northbound carriageway and entry slip road will be closed overnight, between 10pm and 5.30am, from Monday 18 May for four nights. A clearly signed diversion will be in place via the link road to junction 1b.
A282 (M25) Dartford – Thurrock Crossing: maintenance work
The following closures will be in place, with a fully signed diversion for oversized vehicles for the northbound east tunnel closures.
- Monday 18 May (8.30pm to 5.30am): northbound east tunnel closure
- Tuesday 19 May (8.30pm to 5:30am): northbound west tunnel closure
- Wednesday 20 May (8.30pm to 5:30am): northbound west tunnel closure
- Thursday 21 May (8.30pm to 5.30am): northbound west tunnel closure
