Planned road works in West Midlands: Weekly summary for Tuesday 1st September – 6th September 2015
The following summary of planned new and ongoing road improvements over the coming week is correct as of 28th August 2015 but could be subject to change due to weather conditions or unforeseen circumstances. All our improvement work is carried out with the aim of causing as little disruption as possible.
A38 Swinfen to Toyota Island/Swinfen to Weeford. Drainage Surveys Works
The carriageway and slip will be closed overnight between 9pm and 6am from 1st September until the 6th September. A diversion route will be clearly signposted.
A45 Tollbar to Stivichall. Carriageway Resurfacing
The westbound carriageway will be closed overnight for one night from 8pm 1st September until 6am the following morning (2nd September). A diversion route will be clearly signposted.
A46 Stivichall exit slip. Carriageway Reconstruction
The northbound exit slip will be closed overnight for three nights between 10pm and 6am from 2nd September until 5th September. A diversion route will be clearly signposted.
A45 Stonebridge Highway. Carriageway works.
Westbound will be closed overnight on Tuesday 1 September from 8pm to 6am Wednesday morning. A diversion route will be signposted.
A46 Kenilworth Bypass exit slip road to Stivichall junction. Carriageway works.
The northbound exit slip will be closed overnight from 8pm to 6am for two nights from Thursday 3 September. A diversion route will be signposted.
A5 – Marlborough Way – Mile Oak. Carriageway Resurfacing
The westbound carriageway will be closed each night between 8pm and 6am from 1st September until morning of the 6th September. A diversion route will be clearly signposted.
A5 Woodcote to Churncote. Carriageway Resurfacing
The westbound carriageway will be closed overnight between 8pm and 6am from 1st September until 6th September. A diversion route will be clearly signposted.
A5 – M42 Junction 10 to Dordon. Carriageway Resurfacing
The eastbound carriageway will be closed overnight between 10pm and 6am from 1st September until 6th September. A diversion route will be clearly signposted.
A5 Mile Oak and Weeford Island. Carriageway Resurfacing
The westbound carriageway will be closed overnight between 8pm and 6am from 1st September until 6th September. A diversion route will be clearly signposted.
A5 Lodge Lane, Churchbridge. Roundabout Upgrades/Signage/Safety Works
The carriageway will be closed in both directions overnight between 8pm and 6am from 1st September until 6th September. A diversion route will be clearly signposted.
A5 Emstrey to Dobbies. Resurfacing Works
The carriageway will be closed in both directions overnight between 7pm and 6.30am from 1st September until 6th September. A diversion route will be clearly signposted.
A500 Etruria Island to M6 Junction 16. Grass Cutting
The carriageway will be closed in both directions overnight between 8pm and 5am from 1st September until 6th September. A diversion route will be clearly signposted.
A500 Alsagar Exit and Entry Slip. Street Lighting
The southbound exit and entry slip will be closed overnight between 8.30pm and 6am from 1st September until 6th September. A diversion route will be clearly signposted.
M42 junction 3a to junction 3 West Midlands. Carriageway Resurfacing
The southbound carriageway will be closed overnight between 10pm and 6am from 1st September to 6th September. A diversion route will be clearly signposted.
M42 junction 5 & 6 exit slip roads. West Midlands. Street Lighting Works
The northbound exit slip will be closed overnight for two nights between 8pm and 6am from 1st September until 3rd September. A diversion route will be clearly signposted.
M42 junction 5 entry slip road. West Midlands. Sign Renewal Works
The southbound entry slip will be closed overnight between 8pm and 6am from 1st September until 5th September. A diversion route will be clearly signposted.
M42 junction 6 link road onto A45. West Midlands. Solihull Council Scheme The westbound carriageway will be closed overnight between 10pm and 6am from 3rd September until 6th September. A diversion route will be clearly signposted.
M42 junction 6 link road/A45 Island. West Midlands. National Grid Gas Works
The A45 westbound link from junction 6 will be closed overnight for one night from 7pm 5th September until 7am the following morning (6th September). A diversion route will be clearly signposted.
M5 junction 7, West Midlands. Traffic Signal Installation
The northbound and southbound exit slips will be closed overnight between 10pm and 6am from 1st September until 6th September. A diversion route will be clearly signposted.
M54 junction 1 to junction 7 exit and entry slips. West Midlands. Vegetation Clearance
The exit and entry slips will be closed in both directions overnight between 9pm and 6am from 1st September until 6th September. Please note they will only be closing one slip on any one night. A diversion route will be clearly signposted.
M6 Junction 6 Gravelly Hill Interchange, West Midlands. Re-waterproofing & Structural Repairs
There will be a full 24hour eastbound link road closure from 1st September ongoing until 6am 30th November. A diversion route will be clearly signposted.
M6 junction 9 entry slip/Western Arm South, West Midlands. Re-waterproofing & Structural Repairs
There will be a full 24hour Southbound Entry Slip closure from 1st September ongoing until 6am 20th August. A diversion route will be clearly signposted.
M6 junction 1 to junction 5 exit and entry slips. West Midlands. Soft Estate Works
The exit and entry slips will be closed in both directions overnight between 8pm and 6am from 1st September until 6th September. Please note they will only be closing one slip on any one night. A diversion route will be clearly signposted.
M6 junctions 11 to 12 northbound, West Midlands. Carriageway works.
The northbound carriageway between junction 11 and junction 12 will be closed overnight for two nights from Tuesday 1st and Wednesday 2nd September between 8pm and 6am including the M6 Toll after T8. A diversion route will be signposted.
M6 junctions 12 to 13 northbound, West Midlands. Carriageway works.
The northbound carriageway between junction 12 and 13 will be closed overnight between 8pm and 6am on Thursday 3rd September. A diversion route will be signposted.
M6 junctions 12 to 11 southbound, West Midlands. Carriageway works.
The southbound carriageway between junction 12 and 11 will be closed overnight for two nights between 8pm and 6am on Friday 4th September and Saturday 5th September. A diversion route will be signposted.
M6 - M42 southbound to M6 north link. West Midlands. Gantry Works
The M6 northbound link from M42 will be closed overnight for one night from 10pm 1st September until 5am the following morning (2nd September). A diversion route will be clearly signposted.
