Planned road works in West Midlands: Weekly summary for Monday 27 July – Sunday 2 August 2015

The following summary of planned new and ongoing road improvements over the coming week is correct as of 24 July 2015 but could be subject to change due to weather conditions or unforeseen circumstances. All our improvement work is carried out with the aim of causing as little disruption as possible.

A38 Weeford entry slip road: street lighting repairs

The northbound exit slip road will be closed from 8pm on 27 July until 6am on 28 July. A diversion will be clearly signposted.

A446 – A452 roundabout junction: bridge joint repairs

The A446/A452 junction roundabout will be closed for three nights, between 8pm and 6am, from 27 July to 30 July. Diversions will be clearly signposted.

A45 Tollbar to Ryton: improvement scheme

The eastbound carriageway will be closed overnight between 8pm and 6am from 31 July to 7 August. Diversions will be clearly signposted.

A45 Stonebridge highway between Stivichall interchange and Tollbar roundabout

The eastbound carriageway will be closed overnight from 8pm to 6am from Monday 27 July to Friday 31 July.

A46 – between B4035 Badsey Road roundabout and A44/A46 Twyford roundabout: resurfacing

The carriageway will be closed for two nights between 8pm and 6am from 27 July to 29 July. A diversion will be clearly signposted.

A46 – between A44/A46 Twyford roundabout and B439/A46 Salford roundabout, Badsey: resurfacing

The carriageway will be closed for three nights between 9pm and 6am from 29 July to 1 August. A diversion will be clearly signposted.

A46 TGI island to Toll Bar island: improvement scheme

The southbound carriageway will be closed overnight between 8pm and 6am from 31 July until 7 August. A diversion will be clearly signposted.

A5 – M54 junction 7 to Preston Boats (A5/A49) island: resurfacing

The westbound carriageway will be closed overnight between 8pm and 6am from 27 July until 11 August. A diversion route will be clearly signposted.

A5 Montford Bridge to Churncote: resurfacing

The eastbound carriageway will be closed overnight between 8pm and 6am from 27 July until 7 August. A diversion will be clearly signposted.

A5 – M42 junction 10 to Pennine Way (B5080): resurfacing

The westbound carriageway will be closed overnight between 8pm and 6am from 27 July until 30 July. A diversion will be signposted.

A5 Pennine Way (B5080) to Marlborough Way: carriageway resurfacing

The westbound carriageway will be closed overnight between 8pm and 6am from 27 July until 7 August. A diversion route will be clearly signposted.

A50 – exit slip road to Britannia Centre: street lighting column repair

The westbound exit slip road will be closed for one night from 8pm 27 July until 6am the following morning (28 July). A diversion route will be clearly signposted.

A500 – Alsager exit slip road: street lighting

The southbound exit slip road will be closed for one night from 8pm 28 July until 5am the following morning (29 July). A diversion route will be clearly signposted.

A500 – A5006 Michelin exit slip: street lighting

The northbound exit slip road will be closed for one night from 8pm 31 July until 5am the following morning (1 August). A diversion route will be clearly signposted.

M42 junction 3 to Junction 2. West Midlands: carriageway resurfacing

The southbound carriageway will be closed overnight between 10pm and 6am from 27 July to 14 August. A diversion route will be clearly signposted.

The carriageway will be closed in both directions overnight for one night from 10pm 27 July until 4.30am the following morning (28 July). A diversion route will be clearly signposted.

M42 – junction 6 to Junction 8. West Midlands: technology works

The northbound carriageway will be closed in both directions overnight for one night from 10pm 29 July until 5am the following morning (30 July). A diversion route will be clearly signposted.

M5 junction 4 both directions, West Midlands: carriageway works/widening scheme

The carriageway will be closed in both directions overnight for four nights between 9pm and 6am from 27 July to 31 July. A diversion route will be clearly signposted.

M5 junction 4 to Junction 5, West Midlands: bridge Inspections

The carriageway will be closed in both directions overnight for one night between 10pm and 4.30am from 27 July to 28 July. A diversion route will be clearly signposted.

M5 junction 3 to Junction 4a, West Midlands: carriageway resurfacing

The carriageway will be closed in both directions overnight between 10pm and 6am from 1 August to 3 August. A diversion route will be clearly signposted.

M54 junction 3 to Junction 5 (forge Interchange), West Midlands: carriageway works

The westbound carriageway will be closed overnight between 9pm and 6am from 27 July to 3 August. A diversion route will be clearly signposted.

M54 junction 1 to Junction 7, West Midlands: vegetation clearance

The entry and exit slip roads will be closed overnight between 9pm and 6am from 27 July to 3 August. Please note - they will only be closing one junction (including slip roads) at any one time/night. This will be confirmed pending coordination with other works. A diversion route will be clearly signposted.

M6 junction 6 Gravelly Hill Interchange, West Midlands: rewaterproofing and structural repairs

There will be a full 24hour eastbound link road closure from 27 July ongoing until 6am 30 November. A diversion route will be clearly signposted.

M6 junction 9 entry slip road/western Arm South, West Midlands: rewaterproofing & structural repairs

There will be a full 24hour southbound entry slip road closure from 27 July ongoing until 6am 20 November. A diversion route will be clearly signposted.

M6 junction 8 Western Arm, West Midlands: changes of traffic management layout

The southbound carriageway will be closed for one night from 9.30pm 27 July until 6am the following morning (28 July). A diversion route will be clearly signposted.

M6 junction 12 to junction 13 West Midlands: carriageway resurfacing

The northbound carriageway will be closed overnight for 5 nights between 10pm until 6am from 27 July to 1 August. A diversion route will be clearly signposted.

M6 junction 7 exit slip, West Midlands: safety fence repairs

The southbound exit slip road will be closed overnight for one night from 8pm 30 July until 6am the following morning (31 July). A diversion route will be clearly signposted.
