Planned road works in West Midlands: weekly summary for Monday 21st September to 27th September 2015
The following summary of planned new and ongoing road improvements over the coming week is correct as of 18th September 2015 but could be subject to change due to weather conditions or unforeseen circumstances. All our improvement work is carried out with the aim of causing as little disruption as possible.
A38 Swinfen to Toyota Island/Swinfen to Weeford. West Midlands. Drainage Surveys Works
The carriageway and slip will be closed overnight between 9pm and 6am from 21st September until the 27th September. A diversion route will be clearly signposted.
A38 Clay Mills Includes Exit Slip. West Midlands. Improvement Works
The northbound carriageway and exit slip will be closed overnight between 8pm and 6.15am from 21st September until 27th September. A diversion route will be clearly signposted.
A38 Clay Mills Exit Slip. West Midlands. Vodafone Verge Works
The northbound exit slip will be closed during the day between 10am and 3.30pm from 21st September until 27th September. A diversion route will be clearly signposted.
A46 – A45 Toll Bar End Junction to A428 Binley Wood (TGI) Junction. West Midlands. Carriageway Reconstruction
The exit slip will be closed overnight between 6pm and 6am from 21st September until 27th September. A diversion route will be clearly signposted.
A46 Warwick Southbound to M40 Junction 15. West Midlands. Surveys and Maintenance
The southbound carriageway will be closed overnight between 9pm and 6am from 21st September until 26th September. A diversion route will be clearly signposted.
A46 Kenilworth Bypass Northbound Off Slip at Stivichall Island. West Midlands. Reinstate Carriageway Markings
The northbound exit slip will be closed overnight for one night from 8pm 23rd September until 6am the following morning (24th September). A diversion route will be clearly signposted.
A5 Edgebold to Woodcote. West Midlands. Resurfacing Works
The westbound carriageway will be closed overnight between 10pm and 6am from 21st September until 27th September. A diversion route will be clearly signposted.
A5 Woodcote to Edgebold. West Midlands. Resurfacing Works
The eastbound carriageway will be closed overnight between 10pm and 6am from 21st September until 25th September. A diversion route will be clearly signposted.
A50 Meir Tunnel Exit Slips. West Midlands. Resurfacing Works
The exit slips will be closed in both directions overnight between 9.30pm and 5.30am from 21st September until 27th September. A diversion route will be clearly signposted.
A500 Etruria Island to M6 Junction 16. West Midlands. Grass Cutting
The carriageway will be closed in both directions overnight between 8pm and 5am from 21st September until 27th September. A diversion route will be clearly signposted.
A500 Alsagar Exit and Entry Slip. West Midlands. Street Lighting
The southbound exit and entry slip will be closed overnight between 8.30pm and 6am from 21st September until 27th September. A diversion route will be clearly signposted.
M42 Junction 3a to Junction 3 West Midlands. Carriageway Resurfacing
The southbound carriageway will be closed overnight for three nights between 10pm and 6am each night from 21st September to 24th September. A diversion route will be clearly signposted.
M42 Junction 1 to Junction 7. West Midlands. Soft Estate Works
The carriageway will be closed in both directions overnight between 8pm and 6am from 21st September until 27th September. A diversion route will be clearly signposted.
M42 Junction 5 Entry Slip. West Midlands. Carriageway Surveys and Maintenance
The southbound entry slip will be closed overnight between 9pm and 6am from 21st September until 27th September. A diversion route will be clearly signposted.
M42 Junction 11 to Junction 10 including Junction 11 Entry Slip. West Midlands. Installation of Traffic Sensors
The southbound carriageway and entry slip will be closed overnight for one night from 9pm 21st September until 6am the following morning (22nd September). A diversion route will be clearly signposted.
M42 Junction 9 to Junction 7 including Junction 9 Entry Slips and Links. West Midlands. Message Sign and Bridge Joint Repairs
The southbound carriageway and entry slip and links will be closed overnight for one night from 10pm 21st September until 5am the following morning (22nd September). A diversion route will be clearly signposted.
M42 Northbound to M6 Southbound Link. West Midlands. VMS Repairs
The northbound link to M6 southbound link will be closed overnight for one night from 8pm 25th September until 6am the following morning (26th September). A diversion route will be clearly signposted.
M5 Junction 5, West Midlands. Junction Improvement Works
The southbound exit slip will be closed overnight between 8pm and 6am from 21st September until 27th September. A diversion route will be clearly signposted.
M54 Junction 1 to Junction 7 Entry and Exit Slips. West Midlands. Vegetation Clearance
The entry and exit slips will be closed in both directions overnight between 9pm and 6am from 21st September until 27th September. Please note these will not be closed on the same night. A diversion route will be clearly signposted.
M6 Junction 9 Entry Slip/Western Arm South, West Midlands. Re-waterproofing & Structural Repairs
There will be a full 24hour southbound entry slip closure from 14th September ongoing until 6am 18th December. A diversion route will be clearly signposted.
M6 Junction 13 to Junction 12. West Midlands. Resurfacing Works
The southbound carriageway will be closed overnight between 10pm and 6am from 21st September until 27th September. A diversion route will be clearly signposted.
M6 Junction 7 Exit and Entry Slips. West Midlands. Soft Estate Works
The exit and entry slips will be closed in both directions overnight for two nights between 8pm and 6am from 21st September until 23rd September. A diversion route will be clearly signposted.
M6 Junction 1 Exit Slip. West Midlands. Safety Barrier Repairs
The southbound exit slip will be closed overnight for one night from 8pm 21st September until 6am the following morning (22nd September). A diversion route will be clearly signposted.
M6 Junction 11 to Junction 12 including Junction 11 Entry Slip. West Midlands. Operational Testing
The northbound carriageway including junction 11 entry slip will be closed overnight for one night from 10pm 21st September until 6am the following morning (22nd September). A diversion route will be clearly signposted.
M6 Junction 4a to M42 Southbound Link. West Midlands. Bridge Expansion Joint Renewals
The southbound carriageway will be closed overnight for three nights between 9pm and 6am from 22nd September until 25th September. A diversion route will be clearly signposted.
M6 Junction 12 to Junction 13. West Midlands. Operational Testing
The northbound carriageway will be closed overnight for one night from 10pm 22nd September until 6am the following morning (23rd September). A diversion route will be clearly signposted.
M6 Junction 10 Exit and Entry Slips. West Midlands. Soft Estate Works

The northbound exit slip will be closed overnight for one night from 8pm 25th September until 6am the following morning (26th September). A diversion route will be clearly signposted.
M69 Junction 1. West Midlands. Carriageway Surveys and Routine Maintenance
The carriageway will closed overnight in both directions between 9pm and 6am from 21st September until 27th September. A diversion route will be clearly signposted.
