Planned road works in West Midlands: weekly summary for Monday 14 March to Sunday 20 March 2016

The following summary of planned new and ongoing road improvements over the coming week is correct as of 11 March 2016 but could be subject to change due to weather conditions or unforeseen circumstances. All our improvement work is carried out with the aim of causing as little disruption as possible.

A45 – Stivichall to Toll Barr End, West Midlands: electrical works to overhead gantries, bridge joint repairs and road markings

The carriageway will be closed in both directions overnight between 8pm and 6am from 14 March until 20 March. A diversion route will be clearly signposted.

A46 – A45 Toll Barr junction to A428 Binley Wood junction, West Midlands: bridge construction

The carriageway will be closed in both directions overnight between 8pm and 6am from 14 March until 20 March. A diversion route will be clearly signposted.

A46 – Shottery roundabout to Oversley roundabout, West Midlands: carriageway resurfacing

The carriageway will be closed in both directions overnight between 8pm and 6am from 14 March until 20 March. A diversion route will be clearly signposted.

A46 – Oversley to Salford Priors roundabout, West Midlands: carriageway resurfacing

The southbound carriageway will be closed overnight between 9pm and 6am from 14 March until 18 March. A diversion route will be clearly signposted.

A49 – Dinmore Hill, West Midlands: road layout and footpath improvements

The carriageway will be closed in both directions overnight between 10pm and 7am from 14 March until 20 March. A diversion route will be clearly signposted.

A5 – Churchbridge to Washbrook Lane, West Midlands: footway widening

The eastbound and westbound carriageway will be closed overnight between 8pm and 6am from 14 March until 20 March. A diversion route will be clearly signposted.

A5 – Turf roundabout to the Parade junction, West Midlands: footway widening

The eastbound carriageway will be closed overnight between 8pm and 8am from 14 March until 19 March. A diversion route will be clearly signposted.

A5 – Mile End exit slip road, West Midlands: electrical works

The eastbound exit slip road will be closed overnight for one night from 8.30pm 14 March until 4am the following morning (15 March). A diversion route will be clearly signposted.

A50 – Meir Tunnel to Blyth Bridge, West Midlands: singing and white lining

The eastbound carriageway will be closed overnight between 8pm and 5.30am from 14 March until 20 March. A diversion route will be clearly signposted.

A500 – Whieldon Road to Stoke Road, West Midlands: routine maintenance

The carriageway will be closed in both directions overnight between 8pm and 6am from 15 March until 6am 18 March. A diversion route will be clearly signposted.

The northbound link will be closed in overnight for one night from 8pm 14 March until 6am the following morning (15 March). A diversion route will be clearly signposted.

M42 – junction 1 entry slip road, West Midlands: structure inspections

The southbound exit slip road will be closed in overnight for one night from 9.30pm 14 March until 5am the following morning (15 March). A diversion route will be clearly signposted.

M42 – junction 4 slip entry and exit slip roads, West Midlands: carriageway repairs

The entry and exit slip roads will be closed in both directions overnight between 9pm and 5am from 16 March until 20 March. Please note, all the slip roads will not be closed on the same night. A diversion route will be clearly signposted.

M5 - junction 5 to junction 7, West Midlands: installation of narrow lanes

The southbound carriageway will be closed overnight between 8pm and 6am from 14t March until 16 March. A diversion route will be clearly signposted.

M5 - junction 5 entry and exit slip roads, West Midlands: construction works for major scheme

The northbound and southbound slip roads will be closed overnight between 8pm and 6am from 14 March until 18 March. A diversion route will be clearly signposted.

M5 - junction 6 entry slip road, West Midlands: construction works for major scheme

The northbound and southbound slip roads will be closed overnight between 8pm and 6am from 14 March until 16 March. A diversion route will be clearly signposted

M5 – junction 6 entry and exit slip roads, West Midlands: ground investigation works

The northbound entry slip and southbound exit slip road will be closed overnight for two nights between 8pm and 6am from 14 March until 16 March. A diversion route will be clearly signposted.

M5 – junction 6 entry slip road, West Midlands: improvement scheme

The southbound entry slip road will be closed overnight for one night from 8pm 16 March until 6am the following morning (17 March). A diversion route will be clearly signposted.

M5 – junction 2 exit slip roads, West Midlands: inspections

The northbound and southbound exit slip roads will be closed overnight for two nights between 10pm and 5.30am from 16 March until 18 March. A diversion route will be clearly signposted.

M54 – junction 2 to junction 3 including slip roads, West Midlands: filter drain renewals

The carriageway including the entry and exit slip roads will be closed in both directions overnight between 11.30pm and 6am from 14 March until 20 March. Please note the Slips will not be closed in both directions at the same time. A diversion route will be clearly signposted.

M54 – junction 2 exit slip road, West Midlands: street lighting works

The eastbound exit slip road will be closed overnight for one night from 8.30pm 17 March until 4am the following morning (18 March). A diversion route will be clearly signposted.

The eastbound exit slip road and Link to M6 will be closed overnight for one night from 8.30pm 18 March until 4am the following morning (19 March). A diversion route will be clearly signposted.

M6 - junction 5 entry slip, West Midlands: bridge repairs

There will be a full 24hour southbound entry slip closure from 18 January ongoing until 6am 30 June. A diversion route will be clearly signposted.

M6 – junction 14 to junction 16, West Midlands: carriageway resurfacing

The northbound carriageway will be closed overnight between 9pm and 6am from 14 February until 18 March. A diversion route will be clearly signposted.

M6 – junction 4a to 6, West Midlands: carriageway repairs

The northbound carriageway will be closed overnight for one night from 9pm 14 March until 6am the following morning (15 March). A diversion route will be clearly signposted.

M6 – junction 4a to junction 5, West Midlands: barrier repairs

The northbound carriageway will be closed overnight between 9pm and 6am from 15t March until 18 March. A diversion route will be clearly signposted.

M6 – junction 3 entry slip road, West Midlands: routine maintenance

The northbound entry slip road will be closed overnight between 8pm and 6am from 16 March until 19 March. A diversion route will be clearly signposted.

M6 – junction 3 exit slip road, West Midlands: routine maintenance

The northbound exit slip road will be closed overnight between 8pm and 6am from 16 March until 19 March. A diversion route will be clearly signposted.

M6 – junction 3 entry slip road, West Midlands: routine maintenance

The southbound entry slip road will be closed overnight for one night from 8pm 18 March until 6am the following morning (19 March). A diversion route will be clearly signposted.

M6 – junction 3a to junction 4, West Midlands: electrical works

The southbound carriageway will be closed overnight for one night from 10pm 20 March until 5am the following morning (21 March). A diversion route will be clearly signposted.

The southbound link to the M6 northbound carriageway will be closed overnight between 8pm and 6am from 17 March until 21 March. A diversion route will be clearly signposted.
