Planned new and ongoing road improvements over the coming week.
The following summary of planned new and ongoing road improvements over the coming week is correct as of 7 August 2015 but could be subject to change due to weather conditions or unforeseen circumstances. All our improvement work is carried out with the aim of causing as little disruption as possible.
A38 Barton-Under-Needwood – Hillards Corss: carriageway resurfacing
The carriageway will be closed in both directions overnight between 8pm and 6am from 10th August until the 16th August. A diversion route will be clearly signposted.
A38 Clay Mills exit slip road: Vodafone verge works
The northbound exit slip road will be closed during the day between 10am and 3.30pm from 10th August until the 16th August. A diversion route will be clearly signposted.
A38 Clay Mills including exit slip road: carriageway improvement works
The northbound carriageway and exit slip will be closed overnight between 8pm and 6.15am from 10th August until the 16th August. A diversion route will be clearly signposted.
A38M DC link into city: gantry works
The northbound carriageway and exit slip will be closed overnight between 10pm and 6am from 10th August until the 15th August. A diversion route will be clearly signposted.
A45 Tollbar to Ryton: improvement scheme
The eastbound carriageway will be closed overnight between 8pm and 6am from 10th August until the 16th August. A diversion route will be clearly signposted.
A46 TGI Island to Toll Bar Island: improvement scheme
The southbound carriageway will be closed overnight between 8pm and 6am from 10th August until 14th August. A diversion route will be clearly signposted.
A46 Festival roundabout to M40 J15 including Sherborne links. vegetation clearance
The slip roads will be closed overnight between 8pm and 6am from 10th August until 16th August. A diversion route will be clearly signposted.
A5 – M54 junction 7 to Preston Boats (A5/A49) Island: carriageway resurfacing
The westbound carriageway will be closed overnight for two nights between 8pm and 6am from 10th August until 12th August. A diversion route will be clearly signposted.
A5 Churncote to Woodcote: carriageway resurfacing
The eastbound carriageway will be closed overnight between 8pm and 6am from 10th August until 16th August. A diversion route will be clearly signposted.
A5 Marlborough Way to Mile Oak: carriageway resurfacing
The westbound carriageway will be closed overnight between 8pm and 6am from 10th August until 16th August. A diversion route will be clearly signposted.
A5 Woodcote to Churncote: carriageway resurfacing
The westbound carriageway will be closed overnight between 8pm and 6am from 10th August until 16th August. A diversion route will be clearly signposted.
A50 Blurton Road overbridge to junction A500 junction including slip roads: topographical surveys
The westbound carriageway will be closed overnight between 10pm and 6am from 10th August until 16th August. A diversion route will be clearly signposted.
A50 Meir interchange: topographical surveys
The eastbound carriageway will be closed overnight for one night from 8pm 14th August until 5am the following morning (15th August). A diversion route will be clearly signposted.
A500 Wolstanton: street lighting column repair
The southbound exit slip road will be closed for one night from 8pm 10th August until 6am the following morning (11th August). A diversion route will be clearly signposted.
A500 Porthill: street lighting column repair
The southbound exit slip will be closed for one night from 8pm 11th August until 6am the following morning (12th August). A diversion route will be clearly signposted.

M50 junction 1 to junction 2, West Midlands: installation of Varioguard
The carriageway will be closed in both directions overnight for one night from 9pm 13th August until 6am the following morning (14th August). A diversion route will be clearly signposted.
M54 junction 1 to junction 7, West Midlands: vegetation clearance
The entry and exit slips will be closed overnight between 9pm and 6am from 10th August to 16th August. Please note, they will only be closing one junction (including slips) at any one time/night. A diversion route will be clearly signposted.
M54 junction 6 to 7, West Midlands: carriageway resurfacing
The westbound carriageway including junction 6 entry slip will be closed overnight between 8pm and 6am from 12th August to 16th August. A diversion route will be clearly signposted.
M54 junction 7 to junction 6, West Midlands: carriageway resurfacing

There will be a full 24hour eastbound link road closure from 10rd August ongoing until 6am 16th August. A diversion route will be clearly signposted.
M6 junction 9 entry slip road/western arm south, West Midlands: re-waterproofing and structural repairs
There will be a full 24hour southbound entry slip closure from 10th August ongoing until 6am 16th August. A diversion route will be clearly signposted.
M6 junction 14 entry and exit slip roads, West Midlands: grass cutting and vegetation clearance works
The northbound entry and exit slips will be closed overnight for two nights between 9pm and 6am from 10th August until 12th August. A diversion route will be clearly signposted.

The northbound carriageway including junction 12 entry slip and exit slip roads will be closed overnight for one night from 10pm 10th August until 6am the following morning (11th August). A diversion route will be clearly signposted.

The northbound exit and entry slip will be closed overnight between 9pm and 5am from 14th August until 20th August. Please note they will only be closing one slip on any one night. A diversion route will be clearly signposted.
M6 junction 11 entry slips, West Midlands: carriageway resurfacing
The northbound entry slip will be closed overnight for one night from 10pm 14th August until 6am the following morning (15th August). A diversion route will be clearly signposted.
