Overnight resurfacing on A50 Catchems Corner slip road, Stoke-on-Trent

The Highways Agency is to carry out overnight resurfacing on the A50 westbound entry slip road at Catchems Corner, Stoke-on-Trent, from Monday 12 May.

The work, which also includes replacing road markings and studs, will take three nights and requires a full closure of the slip road as well as the A50 westbound between Grindley Lane and Meir.

Work takes place between 9pm and 6am. Traffic will be diverted off the A50 at the B5029 Grindley Lane junction and along the A520 to rejoin the A50 at Meir.

Highways Agency Project Manager Richard Gulliver said:

The work will lead to an improved road surface but to carry it out safely we need to close the road. We therefore advise people to allow extra time for their journeys.
