Overnight closures of M54 between junction 7 and the A5 in Shropshire
The Highways Agency is to carry out overnight resurfacing on the M54 junction 7 eastbound exit slip road from Thursday 20 November.
The slip road will be closed for 5 nights, as will the main carriageway of the M54 between the A49/A5 Preston Boats roundabout at Shrewsbury to junction 7.
The closures take place between 7pm and 7am each night, during which time traffic will be diverted off the A5 at the Emstrey roundabout and along the B5061 to join the M54 at junction 7.
Highways Agency Project Manager Purnima Kaul said:
The existing carriageway is worn and requires repairing to maintain a safe running surface for the travelling public. To do that safely we need to close the road, so people should allow extra time for their journeys.
