Press release

Overnight closures of A46 Festival Island slip road, Coventry

The northbound exit slip road at the A46 Festival Island in Coventry will be closed overnight for resurfacing from Friday 26 September.

The work, which is due to last five nights, also includes replacing traffic detector loops, road markings and studs.

The closures take place from 9.30pm to 6am each night, when traffic will be diverted north to the A444 then turn around at the roundabout with the A4114 and return to Festival Island via the southbound A444 and A46.

Highways Agency project manager Purnima Kaul said:

The work will ensure the continued provision of a safe, smooth carriageway but to carry it out safely and efficiently we need to close the carriageway. We advise road users affected by the diversions to allow extra time for their journeys.
