Overnight closure of A1 near Catterick
Drivers are advised there will be an overnight closure of the A1 in North Yorkshire, as part of ongoing improvement work on the A1 Leeming to Barton major scheme.
The A1 northbound between Catterick South and Catterick North junctions will be closed overnight (8pm to 6am) on Thursday 28 May.
The work, which will include barrier replacement and white lining, is part of the ongoing scheme to improve journey times and increase safety.
Clearly signed diversion routes will be in place and the existing 50mph speed limit will remain in force.
Northbound traffic will leave the A1 at Catterick South junction to be diverted via A6136 Leeming Lane and A6136 Gatherley Road to re-join the A1 at Catterick North junction.
