Oil tanker explosion in Democratic Republic of Congo

The UK's Minister for Africa has offered condolences on behalf of the British Government.

The UK’s Minister for Africa, Henry Bellingham, has offered his condolences on behalf of the British Government, following an oil tanker explosion in the village of Sange in the Democratic Republic of Congo.

“Our thoughts are with the families and friends of those who have died in this tragedy. Our Embassy is working with the United Nations and other humanitarian agencies to see what assistance the international community can provide to the local authorities.”
