Notice to customers who submitted visa applications on 5 September in China

On Friday 5 September an IT issue resulted in a small number of our customers being charged the incorrect exchange rate of 11RMB / £1 rather than correct rate of 10.7RMB / £1. We apologise for this error, which resulted in some customers paying slightly more for their application.

We have identified the applications in question, and will now prioritise these applications so that these customers receive a faster service.

Should any affected applicant wish to make a refund request for the payments they have submitted they can do so, but would need to make a new payment of the full correct amount before they obtain their visa.

If customers are content with the priority service they will receive there is no need to make any refund request or to make further payment.
